Rob and Doug Ford are acting like asses as they are thumping their chest about getting the Jacksonville Jaguars because they have no fans that go to game.
To do list for the Ford Brothers
- find funding for a new stadium that at least 63,000 seats and most likely 70,000 - 80,000 seats and the funding that they will need at least half a billion dollars and most likely more to build this new stadium because the Roger Center (formerly called the Skydome) does not have the minimum seats possible which is 63,000.
- Find where to put said stadium because that is constantly going everywhere in the past and if they are smart they should put it @ Downview park.
- Figure out how to allow people to drink beer outside and walk down the street with open beers as someway somehow they need to allow tailgating because if there is no tailgating there is no fans as tailgating is part of the NFL.
- quietly they need to go to New York City and talk to Roger Goodell because talking about this in the media is not a great idea because if Jim Balsillie spoke up about bringing the NHL to Hamilton and used the media to strong arm Gary Bettman and got black balled by the NHL and Goodell is like a million times stronger than Bettman so it would not be a good idea.
- Find a billionaire to buy a team and move it to T O as it will cost about 1.2 - 1.5 billion dollars as that is the going rate for even the weakest franchises as people in Toronto are front runners and they only go to the popular events.
- Also it is going to be hard to convince the NFL that they should move a team across the boarder as it will not help the TV contract as the NFL already has a Canadian contract out it is nowhere close to the amount the US contract is and would not get any closer to it with a Canadian team.
Good Luck Ford brothers this talk has been around as long as I have been (1977) which is almost 35 years
