Dodgers and Red Soxs made a massive deal
The L.A. Dodgers has been going all out to get past the San Francisco Giants by first picking up Hanley Ramirez from the Marlins and now have picked up Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, and even Nick Punto.
This looks like it seriously good to happen as all four have cleared waivers and in return the Dodgers will receive Rubby De La Rosa is the center piece of it all and Red Soxs would receive James Loney along with prospects infielder Ivan De Jesus and outfielder Jerry Sands. The deal is not done yet but it make scent for both two and they have until Sunday afternoon to get it done.
For the Dodgers they really want to make the playoffs and this deal puts them with a lot more talent than the Giants who they ate two games behind and Gonzalez knows the NL West very well as he was on the Padres before heading to Boston and a change of scenery will do Josh Beckett a lot of good after last season's beer and chicken incident.
For Boston it would be a new start as it has been a disaster since rebuilding last season with Crawford just not fitting in and the fans not really warming to him as he was underperforming and injury prono. Then there is Adrian Gonzalez who phone was used to call the we do not like Valentine meeting that has been all the talk for a few weeks now and Josh Buckett just not fit the mold of a Boston Red Sox and it best off to wipe the slate clean and maybe go after Cliff Lee in the off season as it looks like the Phillies are looking to get some more offense for pitching or Mark Buehrle from the Marlins as they are truly having a fire sale and for the right price anyone with a big contract is on the table.
Lets see if it happens

UFC cancels show after Jon Jones refuses to fight and instead heading to T.O.
Dana White had to cancel next Saturday's card when a tear in Dan Henderson's right knee during a take down in practice will not need surgery but it still forced Dana to ask Jon Jones to fight a different fighter (Chael Sonnen) with less than two weeks preparation which would not be a good choice for Jones as Sonnen would have a slight advantage being more hungry and having more tape on Jones than Jones has on Sonnen.
But what is Mandalay Bay Events Center lose is the gain of the Air Canada Center as Jon Jones has decided with an extra three weeks to get ready and get to know his next opponent Lyoto Machida who he choked in the main event at UFC 140 which was held at the Air Canada Centre last year. So on September 22Nd @ UFC 152 Jon "Bones" Jones will face Lyoto Machida in a rematch and will be a hot main event for a hot crowd and will whatever tickets remain.
Chael Sonnen had been running his mouth for a while that he could beat Jones and we ready to immediately to head to Mandalay Bay and take him on Tomorrow if that was what it took to get him in the Octagon. Dana is pissed at Jon Jones and his camp for next take on Chael Sonnen on such short notice to save the event and give Dana a massive headache to find spots for the other match ups that have also been cancelled but I think Dana is in the wrong to put a fighter and more importantly the face of the UFC and then just rip him apart.
UFC 152 (now 151) in T.O. will be good

Brock the monster, Punk steals, Kevin Rudolf kills the crowd
The sliver anniversary of Summerslam was a pretty good show with a extremely hot start, a very sleepy middle, and it was an extremely good end of the show with Kevin Rudolf actually killing Summerslam was the worst of the filler with Michael Cole dancing during the performance made his look like a tool.
The opener was hot with Y2J Vs Dolph Ziggler with Vicki losing it ringside throughout the match with the Y2J got Ziggler into the walls and he tapped out and Vicki was crying at ringside.
Then it was a great promo with Brock and Hayman with the camera on Brock while Hayman told us how much of a monster that Brock is.
Second match was Kane Vs Daniel Bryant and it focused on the yes chant and it made Bryant very mad and it was the hottest when Bryant was on the top of turnbuckle and came off and it looked like he had headbutted Kane but it turned out that Kane had gotten him by the throat and choke slammed Bryant. Then he went for a tombstone but Bryant rolled him up for the victory and then Kane went to the back and destroyed everything in his way and then Josh Matthew decided that this was the perfect time to ask Kane a question and got destroyed for his efforts.
Then the middle happened and the crowd was completely dead starting with The Miz and Rey Mysterio and Miz put a couple of sleepers on Rey and that was what put the crowd to sleep and took Miz a while to get a stone crushing finale for the victory. Before the next match Punk went into A.J.'s office and she started by smiling but when Punk kept talking and talking A.J. stopped listen and Punk wanted to know if she was awake and after a while he shut up and left.
The next match was Alberto Del Rio Vs Sheamus the crowd was out of it until Del Rio copied Sheamus setup for the bro kick and that woke up the crowd until the end of the match and it ended with Del Rio pulling Rodriguez into the ring and got frustrated at Rodriguez and when the ref was focused on Rodriguez who throw a shoe to Del Rio and Sheamus got it and hit him with it for the win but Del Rio's foot was on the rope and Sheamus still won.
The last of the sleeper matches was Prime Time Players against R-Truth and Kofi Kingston and the Prime Time Players got beat and are probably headed for best wishes in your future with A.W. fired.
Business picked up with the triple threat match where Big Show basically dominated the match until the end where both Punk and Cena had submissions on him and he tapped but because both had a submission on the Ref could not decide who won. This brought out A.J. and both Punk and Cena argued they should win but when A.J. opened her mouth she said start the match again and when both turned around Big Show choke slammed both of them and covered both individually but did not get the win. The end of the match happened when Punk tried to get the GTS on Big Show which did not work so Cenaa tried the AA and hit it and then was thrown out of ring by Punk who covered Big Show to keep the belt.
This is where they brought out Kevin Rudolf to sing his don't give up song that they use so much and the crowd was so quiet u could hear crickets behind the music and the Divas were brought out to dance but Michael Cole's dancing ringside was embarrassing and of course it was not his decision as Vince was in his ear.
The Final Match was Brock Lesner basically destroying Trips with the focus on the Kimura and Trips only response was cloth lining Lesner over the top rope and Brock kept throwing around Trips with back suplexes. The match changed when Trips pushed Brock into the announce table and Brock was not the same complaining about his stomach and it looked serious but when Trips focused on it before going to the Pedigree and it felt more like an act and the match finished with Trips got a second Pedigree and went for the cover and Brock got the Kimura on Trips for the victory.
Trips at the end of the night was look for a good send off by the crowd but it did not happen

Chad Johnson is embarrassed and now alone
Chad Johnson was brought into Miami Dolphins camp with a ton of baggage and it may of been more about something to give hard knocks as was front and center in the first two episodes of this season show based on the Dolphins and VH1 had already given Johnson and his wife Evelyn Lozada a reality show.
After the most talked about head butt on Saturday night since Andre the Giant turned on Hulk Hogan during a piper pit segment in the middle of the 80's leading to Wrestle Mania 3 and it all began with Lozada, a charter on the basketball wives, finding a receipt for condoms on Johnson and lets just say that Johnson was not using the condoms with her and he spent a couple of hours in prison after the incident. After the incident Chad Johnson with the cameras rolling for hard knocks sat down with Dolphins' head coach Joe Philbin who cuts him on international TV as Johnson pleads for his millionths chance and fell on deaf ears and this is the embarrassing part of his weekend.
After VH1 cancelled Johnson and Losada's reality series that was already shot and in the can it was time that Losada ended their 41 day marriage and Johnson is now alone as Losada all about the show and the fame that would hopefully comes from it. This divorce makes the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage of 72 days fell like a decent amount for celebrity marriages and Johnson has just been dropped by Zico which is a brand of coconut water and the agreement lasted only two weeks.
It looks like Chad Johnson have not been faithful from the very beginning as he has been hooking up with a mother of two in Boston Beverly Shiner (near where he played last season for the New England Patriots) between January and May and she followed Johnson on twitter and after starting the affair she began following Losada as well so she knew when she was out of town and could hook up with Johnson.
Chad Johnson is in a rough shape and it may not end well for him

Dwight Howard is going to learn alot in LA
Dwight Howard has whined and cried to get his way as he is finally in a bigger market and will finally not be the only talent player on the team and the pressure will not only be on his now unlike his career so far in Orlando.
The thing about Dwight Howard is that he will be in for a rude awakening as he has had the world at his feet and in LA he will be taught a few lessons and here is a list of things he will learn:
- He is the boss as that is Kobe in LA and everything happen through Kobe and Mr. Nash is not a bad second in command and that is team effort to get the prize (the championship) and trust me that Kobe want another ring and the only reason Nash is in LA is for the ring.
- Kobe has been Howard before and he knows about wanting to be an one man band a.k.a. Shaq who and when he was by himself it was no fun as he would put up huge numbers and no championship and right now he will take less numbers for a championship and Howard will need to get to the promise land.
- right now Howard needs to learn about public relations as his indecision made LBJ's decision a classy move which is hard to do and LA one of the few places where he will find a group of people that can teach him what to say and more impotently what not to say. Kobe is in a small group who is contently under a massive microscope and handles himself as a class act and Steve Nash is one of the classiest players in the league because he say no future is Phoenix for him he said all the right things and basically behind him moving on and he used Toronto to get more from other teams I do not know if he will be booed by Raps fans and they boo anyone who does not like team. Finally that guy the former Ron Artest until that Westbrook situation he was a model player as a Laker and that is hard to do especially go into the stands and beat up paying customers.
- There is no I in team - On the Lakers everybody in the starting lineup is very very talented player and everybody will get their turn with the ball so if Howard is asked to focus on D that is what he will need to do. If he is asked to just wait for the ball to go up and for him on a miss get that ball and pass it out that is what he will need to do or if he needs to go up strong with a ball then that is what he needs to do.
- Howard is probably need to take a page out of Kobe's playbook and spend sometime in the gym making himself better and the weakness of this Superman is his free throws and he will need to do better at free throws or he will be sitting late in games when the Lakers have the ball because otherwise he be constantly fouled and sent to the line and it will hurt the team.
I do not know if Howard is a Laker long term but he is for the season and it would be a good thing to learn something there

Canadian Olympic Soccer Team has great tournament and pick up a medal
So Canadian was broken on Monday against the US in a heart-breaking loss with 30 seconds in the extra time and then the talked started about the ref and why she made the calls she did i.e the 6 sec call and the hand ball off Canadian that went off Canadian Marie-Eve Nault that went off her arm and Alex Morgan put home the free kick. Then coming out out of the match fifa changed the tone of the conversation from the ref to will Canadian players Christine Sinclair or Melissa Tancredi suspended for the bronze as fifa announced they were looking at comments by the Canadian ladies after the US game and thankfully it was only a smokescreen as FiFA announced they did have enough info to make a decision before today's game.
The Canadian women were on their heels all game with France attacking and attacking and attacking and just could not put one away and the Canadians did not look like they had any legs left but things turned for the Canadians when Sinclair was fouled at the beginning of added time and got a free kick that did not work. Then a minute later Diana Mathesonwas in front of the French goal and put it away to give Canada a 1-0 win in the last minute of added time and it became the first traditional team medal by a Canadian team in the Summer Olympic since 1936.
It was a great way for Canadian ladies a tournament where they lost to the top two teams in the world when they opened the tournament against Japan and lost 2-1 on two late first half goals and fought back to make it close in the second half with a goal from Melissa Tancredi who turned out to the surprise of the tournament with 4 goals and gave Sinclair the support she needed. Then Canada beat South Africa 3-0 and tied Sweden 2-2 to head into the knock out round and beat Great Britain in the quarter-final in an almost empty Coventry stadium.
This is a great way for the 29-year-old Christine Sinclair to put herself in a class by herself in women's soccer with her 143 international goals and will be most likely the Canadian flag bearer for Sunday's closing ceremonies in London.
It is a kick-start for the 2015 world cup that Canada will host

Clara Hughes had a broken back two month before Olympics
Clara Hughes a Canadian cyclist in the summer games and speedskating in the Winter Olympics and has picked up 6 medals in 6 Olympics (3 summers 1996, 2000, and 2012) (3 winters 2002,2006, and 2010).
She did not pickup a medal in these Olympics as she finished in the middle of the pack in the road race (32Nd) and fell a minute short of a medal in the time trails and finished 5th. Then she went on a Toronto Radio Station and said that she had nasty in cycling over the last few years but on the Victoria Day weekend and more correctly May 21st she fell off her bike in a race in Gatineau, Quebec and that she had broken her back and fractured vertebrae and had been keeping it a secret for the past two month. She stated even though was had a broken back and fractured vertebrae she did not stop training and the reason why was because these thinks are apart of the sport and u just need to pull through it and one of the host said "players in baseball go on the DL for hangnails and u kept going with a broken back".
It is amazing that the almost 40-year-old was able to put medical risks aside and put forth a couple of great performances in her last Olympic games and her most likely her last competition of her career.
She will go down as one of the greatest Canadian Olympians in history
