Jon Jones went into hostile territory and won in the fourth
Jon Jones the crowd against him the whole match against Vitor Belfort who had the crowd behind him and a huge Vitor chant going and he gave the crowd 90 seconds into the match ehen he on his back and got a hold on Jones right arm and had a tremendous arm lock and had almost finished Jones. Then Jones landed tons of left elbows to Vitor's left eye that was bloodied by the end of the first round and Jones would not use his right arm a lot the rest of the match and would hold it after every round. Vitor did not have a great shot to take out Jones the rest of the way and his only offense was on his back trying to get the arm while avoiding the elbow and in the fourth round he was finished as he continued to take elbow and then quickly give up to an arm bar less than a minute into the round and Vitor really gave a shot to beat Jones and was unable to finish him and Jones just carries on but is now a lot less popular.
Demetrious Johnson beat Joseph Benavidez in a split decision to become the first ever UFC Flyweight champion and the crowd did not like stand up at all and in the fist three rounds it was strictly a stand up match and by the end of the third round they were being booed and announcer were shocked that it was happening. In the fourth round Joseph Benavidez was very close to choking out mighty mouse Johnson who ended being way too fast for him and he took Joseph Benavidez down four or five times and it was the reason that Johnson got the decision (48-47, 47-48, 49-46). It was a very tentative for three rounds and the crowd was not used to the skinnier faster guys and may of not known what to expect and ended up not liking it.
Michael Bisping won an unanimous decision over Brian Stann (29-28) after losing the first round because of a right hand and then dominated the final two rounds as he may of got a figure in the eye of Stann and then controlled the final round.
Matt Hamil dominated Canadian on the ground Roger Hollett and it was only Hollett hat took it the distance as he was being clocked in the back of head and should of been stopped earlier if he was not doing as well as he did in his defense.
Cub Swanson knocked out Charles Oliveira in 2 minutes and 40 seconds and was the shortest match on the main card.
It was a good card but the card not liking an stand up and only wanted mat wresting was a little silly and did not show very much knowledge of the sport

The right person wins big brother 14
I came into tonight finale of Big Brother 14 very worried about Dan winning Big Brother and it worried me because he won Big Brother 10 and had already collected the half a million dollar prize. I did not like how Dan used everyone and I really wanted anyone except for Dan to be in the final two and in the end I was very worried after Ian won the final competition over Dan and then took him to the final two and did not have a lot of confidence in the jury not given Dan the money. I did not know if Danielle would be able to turn Shane and both vote for Dan to go with Jenn and Ashley along with Frank which would of given the money to Dan and he would become a Millionaire.
I was shocked that Ian got a 6-2 victory over Dan and it was an awesome to see the super fan Ian who has been watching the game for the last decade and started watching at the young age of eleven. He got to do everything from eating gross food to somewhat hooking up with Ashley and getting to stab Boogie in the back when he told the other house guest what Boogie and Frank felt about everyone. He came through with huge wins and got to live in the HoH room and was able to keep himself save with winning huge Veto competition.
He is now going back to school with over half a million dollars and he really deserved it all and must of been a great ride for him and going forward I hope he keeps his smarts and is able to handle the pressure of all that money and does not end up like others who throw away their money.
It was an awesome season and it is the most reality/scripted TV I have ever watched and it was a great choice bringing in the four coaches as it was a great change

JBL replaces Jerry Lawler and it changes everything
It has been thought of that JBL would return as an announcer for a while and after the real life situation of what happened to Jerry Lawler on monday having a real heartache and will be released from hospital this week from Montreal to head back to Memphis.
So with Lawler out for a long time JBL will be doing raw and PPV until he comes back and JBL was a very great breath of fresh air and whem the cow bell hit for him to come down to ringside as Cole started with an empty chair to start the crowd went wild. He took the heel role so it was a surprise to see Cole being the baby face announcer and it was a total change and it looks like a very good one and he started with really putting over how the Miz did not need to be pinned to lose his title. He also put over how amazing the title run of CM Punk has been and that he has not been apart of the main event in a PPV since winning the title in December and mention that Punk's run is three weeks longer than JBL long run and he also mentioned that Punk was wear Yankees pinstripes in Boston.
Bryant and Kane beat Kofi and Truth for the tag titles and then started yelling at each other that they (single person) is the tag team champs and it carried all the way to the back where they meet up with their therapist who tried to get them to say congrats to each other and A.J. was there and Bryant did and then Kane disappeared and returned dumping water on Bryant but it all ended up on a upset A.J. and I'm going to Disney land. JBL was lost for words after that segment backstage and it was funniest moment of the night.
Early in the night Kaityln was blindsided and was taken out of the Divas title match and Booker T decided to put Eva in the match and this is where Cole was total baby face as he was basically saying Layla was getting screwed and JBL was saying where's the black helicopter like Cole was looking for a ghost.
Punk/Cena was a draw as they did a back suplex and both guys shoulders were counted on the mat

Lawler has heartache and the crowd is left in the dark
So last night during a match between the prime time players and Bryant/Kane Jerry "the king" Lawler had a heartache at ringside and taken to the back and had CPR done before taken to a local Montreal hospital were he is now stable and will need heart surgery and will miss a lot of action including this Sunday's night of champions.
The whole thing made me sick as Michael Cole made sure that the viewers were informed but because the show has to go on and they had to sell the PPV they conveniently forgot to tell the Montreal crowd what was going on. This means that the crowd saw Lawler be carted off on a stretcher and because they were not give the same stuff that the viewer did most of the crowd not checking the internet thought it was a part of the act which it was not. I know last night that the crowd was not in on it as the crowd was still wired and going on like nothing happened and it really did not make me very comfortable about being a wrestling fan and it does happened every so often but I have not felt this way since the Chris Benoit murder/suicide situation happened. This of course has happened before when Owen Hart tried to be lowered to the ring from above and instead went crashing to the mat and was dead on impact and Jim Ross had to announce that hart had died and with a heavy heart we will be finishing the show and the crowd in Kansas City knew what had happened.
Then learning from someone who at the show that no public address announcement was given to the paying crowd and then when John Cena went off script but really did not I thought that would be a perfect time to bring some reality to the situation but instead stay on script and said something in french about Punk and that was not the right decision. I was also shocked that when Cena came down to the ring he had nothing to say and when Brett Hart and Cena started the final segment like nothing happened and just try to sell the PPV to an audience that was in shock of what Cole said in the last hour and nobody is buying the show because of what happened in the final segment.
The whole thing drives home that it is a circus and they have to sell their product in the face of a horrible situation and unlike Benoit it cut and dry and the whole thing would of not bitten the WWE in the butt but the way they decided to portray things will.
It is a sad day to be a wrestling fan

Fan 590 is 20 years old and what it has taught us
September 4, 1992 will go down as a very important date in Toronto Radio history when CJCL 1430 turned into the Fan 1430 and then turned Fan 590 and later became Roger sportsnet 590, the Fan when Rogers rebranded over a year ago. It now has been 20 years of sports programming for the most part and now I have come up with 20 things that we have learned from the Fan.
20 - The Sports babe was money wasted of programming that taught us local is better than a national box programming;
19 - Chris Shultz knows his football and was very entertaining while it lasted as apart of the Mike Hogan mid-day show until Rogers bought the station;
18 - When everybody goes on strike it is not a good time to be a sports radio station and when baseball squashed the World Series in '94 and the NHL decided to scraped the 34 games of 1994-95 season and only played 48 regular season games;
17 - The Fan can scrape the majority of their hosts and repack themselves and become a stronger product when they scraped all their monday - to -friday except for Bob bobcat McCown;
16 - Mike Wilner is not someone to mess with as if U are stupid and ask a stupid question Wilner can get very angry;
15 - Sports updates every 20 minutes is a lor better than the original 15 minute update;
14 - They can recover from huge mistakes like hiring announcer Andrew Krystal as he was not a good fit but it did not hurt the product and they got rid of very quickly;
13 - Tim and Sid is a great afternoon drive show and bring edutainment monday - to -friday;
12 - U do not need to pay an arm and a leg for Toronto Maple Leaf radio rights as they gave them up along time ago and have had a lot strong ratings;
11 - Bringing in Live Audio Wrestling as a replacement brand when they were unable to stream Raptors and then turned it into a weekend evening program on the station and began a 15 plus years of Live Audio Wrestling after getting its start with the Fan before moving on to other stations;
10 - Other companies can take up sports radio on 1050 in the early 2000's with the Team 1050 and right now TSN radio 1050 for over a year and the fan destroy them;
9 - soccer on the radio is not good programming as they have had it before and it did not last;
8 - Blue Jays baseball is best on the Fan as others have tried to do Blue Jays baseball and failed miserably;
7 - It is a breeding ground for talent as George Stroumboulopoulos (the hour), Barry Davis (Blue Jays baseball), Elliotte Friedman (HNIC), Spider Jones, and Dan Shulman (radio voice for Sunday Night Baseball);
6 - The highlight reel which was a mashup of mistakes throughout the week and it was awesome;
5 - Losing great people like Jim Kelley and Jim shaky Hunt who were co-host with Bob McCown with Hunt being the best co-host and who can forget him always asking coaches at the Superbowl and Gray Cup if their players can have sex during the week leading up to the big game. Tom Cheek was a huge lost to the station and Blue Jays baseball has never been the same and Pat Marsden leaving a huge hole in the morning show when he passed away;
4 - Game which was an overnight weekend program that introduced us to Bob Mackowycz, Jr, Jeff Marek and George Stroumboulopoulos along with others who moved on to greatness;
3 - Stormin' Norm Rumack and callers allows getting under his skin and his hammerhead alert and him going crazy in his early days at the station was crazy;
2 - Waken up on September 11th, 2001 and listen to the Fan and instead of sports I was listening to news reports from New York it was a surreal moment after the twin towers went down;
1 - Prime Time Sports the staple of the station is bigger than the actual station;
Happy 20th and hope u have at least 20 more
