Marc Savard season is over before it began and Sidney Cosby is still foggy

Today we hear from the Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli came out and said that Marc Savard will be out for this season and may never play again in the NHL which is sad because Marc Savard was one of the best hockey players before Matt Cooke leveled him with a blindside elbow to the back of his head on March 7th, 2010 and it began the serious concussion issues that have basically kept him out of the lineup since then. He suffered a second serious concussion on January 22Nd and was out for the rest of the 2010-11 season and now the 2011-12 season and it happened three weeks after the biggest name in hockey was sidelined for the rest of the 2010-11 season in Sidney Cosby and who has not been cleared to take part in regular practices and is still not cleared for the preseason and it is foggy right now when U talk about if he will be ready for the regular season as his head is still very foggy.

So the NHL should put the hammer down on players who hit other players in the head and the NHLPA can not protect players like Matt Cooke and Shawn Avery along with others and instead the NHLPA should be helping to get rid of these kind of players from the NHL and to make a league were the fourth line guys are crippling the stars that the NHL are marketing.

The death watch on the Hardy boyz is on high alert

So last week Matt did a video in the dart with his girlfriend Reby Sky was holding the camera and she high on something too when Matt was looking for a ghost in his house and then on Saturday evening he crashed his 2009 Chevrolet Corvette and was charged with a DUI and will be in court September 28th. Matt has lost his job with TNA and it is unlikely that anyone will touch him as the WWE let him go for stuff like this and that was less than a year ago while ROH would not touch him a 100 foot pole eventhough ROH would like to make a splash but they are smart enough to know that Matt Hardy would give them bad pub and massive headaches. He is acting like a kid but in reality he is an almost 37 year old that looks more like an old man with his drug use and the huge aches and pains he has from destroying his body with his brother in the late 90's and early 21 century going throw table after table, getting beat up by a number of ladders, flying sky high off a ton of ladders, and finally putting his body on the line with high risk moves week after week. He has had a number of drug induced videos like one about how he loves grapes and a video dissing CM Punk because CM Punk looked to be the guy responsible for having Matt dismissed by the WWE at least in the eyes of Matt.

Then there is Jeff Hardy who has been supposed to have his legal issues settled in a court of law almost two years ago after being busted with a pharmacy in his car on September 11, 2009 and it still outstanding as there has been in court like a million times over this time and time it has been carried over to a latter date. On March 13th March he arrived for TNA's victory roads PPV in no condition to wrestling but still went out to the ring and it was a complete mess with Eric Bishoff coming out and trying to get him out of the ring and his opponent Sting did not want anything to do with the match so he quickly rolled up Hardy and got out of the ring with the victory as quickly as possible. In the past he has his housed burned to the ground where he and his future wife Beth Britt where not in the house but Jeff lost his dog Jack which hurt him deeply and that not all his troubles as he on September 17th, 2008 was not allowed to board a flight in the Nashville airport at the southwest gate for being intoxicated and was refused enter onto the flight.

He is now returning to TNA on Thursday's IMPACT taping after being laying extremely low after the Victory road incident with wife Beth (who got married March 9th) and their baby girl (born October 28,2011) and it will most likely going to continue because Hardy who will be 34 years old next Wednesday has the problems as Matt he is a shell of the man he used to be and is most likely a broken person.

These guys do not have a great support group as they can not depend on each other as they are both are dependent on drugs and Reby Sky was freaking out in the most recent video like she was high on something too and Beth Britt has been with Jeff since 1999 and been there through all the huge drug issues so that means that she maybe also been dabbing in the drugs or at least over the past decade not been able to help Jeff get through his issues. Also both guys have constantly refused to go to rehab every time they have gotten in trouble and they are contently in trouble so they could be drug overdose cases anytime now.

I would like them both to turn it around but right now it looks hoply

Jack Layton has left his imprint on the City of Toronto and the country of Canada

Jack Layton was born in Montreal on July 18, 1950 and he has represented me since me and my mom moved into the house I live in now since 1994 in one type of politics starting with Toronto Council where I had him come to Danforth Tech and invited all the students to a rollerblading party. He went straight from there to becoming the leader of the NDP as took down Dennis Mills in the Federal election in 2002 which was a very close race in Toronto-Danforth riding. He built the NDP into the opposition party by the time he had step a side on July 25,2011 and he had been given the opportunity he would of been a huge thorn in Stephen Harper's side for the next four years.

He leaves behind his second wife Olivia Chow along with his son Mike and daughter Sarah from his first marriage to Sally Halford and Olivia Chow will now try to keep the memory of her husband and will to help better the people of Canada as the MP of Trinity-Spadina which was Jack goal as the leader of the opposition party. While son Mike has taken his place in Toronto city council as he was elected in 2010 in step-moms riding of Trinity-Spadina.

Jack was the voice of the people over the years as he was an an early advocate for rights for AIDS patients, he was against the 100% funding of the skydome, he opposed to Toronto getting the 1996 Summer Olympics which ended up going to Coca-cola and the city of Atlanta, the white ribbon campaign that was a symbol against men being violence against women, and women right to have an abortion. He was also the chair in 1999 of the WindShare wind power cooperative program to help find ways to reuse energy.

His father Robert Layton was a Progressive Conservative MP under the leadership of Brain Mulroney in the 80's after being Liberal activist in the 60's and 70's while his grandfather Gilbert Layton was a cabinet minister in the Union Nationale government of Maurice Duplessis in Quebec. While his great-granduncle was William Steeves who was a Father of Confederation and his great grandfather Philip Layton was a blind activist who formed the Montreal Association for the blind in 1908 while in the 30's he lead a campaign for disability pensions.

Larry Fitzgerald is getting paid and is happy for the time being

Larry Fitzgerald got paid Saturday night when it was announced that he and the Arizona Cardinals to a 8 year and 120 mil with 50 of it being guaranteed and the Cardinals also picked up quarterback Kevin Kolb to get Fitzgerald the dame ball and if Kolb can get him the ball then the 28-year Larry Fitzgerald will make things happen as he goes all out to try and help his team win the game. The Cardinals will have a good chance to win games until the St. Louis Rams, or San Francisco 49ERs, and or the Seattle Seahawks can figure out to turn it around because last season Seattle Seahawks won the division with a 7 and 9 record. Larry Fitzgerald has been with the Cardinals for 7 seasons and had his best years with Kurt Warner between 2005 - 2009 with three seasons of over 1400 yards and the combo ended up in Superbowl XLIII and if Santonio Holmes hads not made that remarkable catch in the corner of the end zone to win the Superbowl. In the 2008 playoffs Fitzgerald broke the record for the most receiving yards with 419 on 23 catches and scored 5 TDs and in the Superbowl he had 7 catches for 127 yards and 2 TDs.

Now the question will be will he be satisfied being a Cardinal if Kevin Kolb is a flop or if the Cardinals turn into a 4 or 5 win team with no chance of making the playoffs because Bill Bidwill does not open the wallet to bring in the talent to build around him so that he will not demand a trade or being released by the Cardinals.

Larry Fitzgerald will be a hard working player and if Kolb can get him the ball they will be amazing and he would be even better with an All-Pro quarterback likes of Payton, Tom, and Ryan

Farewell to Hainser (Ryan Hains)

Ryan Haines better known as Hainser has been a causality of Sirius letting go of score radio Sirius radio 158 and he will be leaving score radio after working there since 2008 or 2009 as a part of Red Heat with Cam Stewart and he has had segments on Tim and Sid : Uncut and also worked on Puck Daddy with Greg Wyshynski and Rob Pizzo. He has also been a sports update guy as well and when he gets to speak on a show he gets very loud as he gives his thoughts and the best part of him is that U can not understand the words that are coming out of his mouth and he has his own Hainser’s Dictionary @ http://cutoruncutblog.com/hainsers-dictionary. He had his own segment on Tim & sid : uncut known as Hainser's corner where Sid give him questions and then Hainer goes off on the topic and on Red Heat when Cam Stewart allows to talk he goes off on the topics of the day. The thing that took his popularity to another level was when the audio of the 2010 Beauties of Asia came out and the audio of him screwing up the contestant names was played on Tim & Sid : uncut and then Tim & Sid : Uncut then would go into the recording studio after Hainser recorded something for Red Heat and aired the out takes along with talking about the 20 windows open of the computer he was using as Hainser just window after window instead of reusing a window. One of the best pieces that Hainser did for Tim & Sid : Uncut was him singing songs by Nate Dogg & Warren G on March 15,2011 the day that Nate Dogg died.

UFC and FOX have now come to an agreement

The UFC and Fox have gotten into bed together as they have signed a 7 year deal and the rumored number is 100 million a year which is a very very very low low low number so it might be a lot larger number when the final number comes out.

So FOX will have four UFC live cards each year on the main FOX network which may have some tittle fights on some cards and some name fighters but not every card and then will also have 32 live events on the FX channel which will happen on Fridays and Fuel TV will have pre and post event shows after network and PPV shows.

The ultimate fighter series will be 13 live shows apart of the FX Friday package which will included a two hour live episode with 16 elimination fights to choose who is in the house for that season and then the show after that will have have pre-taped segments from Saturday to Thursday and then will end the show with the elimination fight which will be live.

The UFC is going the WWE the way by going the national TV way which helps the WWE to promo the PPV that helps to give them more PPV buys and will help the UFC PPV buys that are very high already and will get even more buys through their national TV time.

UFC is going to be a powerhouse for years to come and FOX will be laughing all the way to the bank

The LAW: Live Audio Wrestling would be great programming for TSN radio

The LAW: live audio wrestling has been on the Score radio sirius 158 since January 2009 but now the score radio is finished on September 1 and Live Audio Wrestling is looking for a new home and this is not the first time this has happened to the program as they have been on three local Toronto radio stations including the Fan 590 (fall '98 - fall '00), Mojo radio (fall '00 - January '05), and then CFRB 1010 (January '05 - January '09) and during this time there were other stations across Canada (July '06 - January '09).

The LAW is a wrestling program that has been on air from 11 PM - 1 AM on Sunday nights for over a decade and it has been hosted by Dan The Mouth Lovranski since 2000 and Jason Agnew since 2003 who replaced Jeff Marek who has moved on to basically anything hockey. It usually has wrestling and mma news and at the top of the second hour they have Dave from the wrestling observer newsletter to discuss the news of the week. They also take plenty of phone calls and usually have a guest from rhe world of wrestling or mma to give the listeners a somewhat lookinside wrestling entertainment or mix martial arts.

So looking at what is out there on Toronto Radio it might be a good thing for TSN 1050 to pick up the show because replacing an American point of view to sports i.e. ESPN radio and replacing it with a couple of hours of local talk in the area of sports entertainment that has a very wide variety of listeners who if they live in the Toronto area can listen to the LAW on the radio while the people outside of Toronto could listen to it the TSN.ca/tsn radio 1050.

It would be a smart move on TSN to make it happen as it would grow the interest in the station

Summer slam - Edge returned, Nash returned, Stephanie and Jimmy Hart made a special appearance

So Alberto Del Rio is your new WWE champion which happened after a 25 minute match between Jon Cena and CM Punk in a match were U had your usually lets go CM Punk, lets go Cena along with the lets go Cena, Cena sucks. During the match there were the two counts which slowed down the match tempo as the wrestler making the pin argued with triple H and both Punk and Cena got out of each others finisher and kicking out of each others finisher and it went back and forth between both of them and at one point triple H was counting both out of the ring and he actually picked them both up and throw them back into the ring. The match ended with CM Punk got the go to sleep on Cena and Cena was to close to the rope and he got his foot on the rope before the three count and the best part of the match was when CM Punk came off the top rope with a Macho man flying elbow and then a Randy Savage chant started and it was awesome. Triple H did not notice the foot on the rope and counted the three count and CM Punk was named the undisputed champ and Cena talked to triple H but nothing changed. Then after the match Kevin Nash came through the crowd and finished off CM Punk which announced the arrival of Del Rio who had his own ref and got the three count and triple H was confused as well.

Before the Christian and Randy Orton match Christian came out first and introduced his muscle for the no disqualification match and it was the return of Edge but Edge turned on Christian before the match began and said that Christian was whiner and is hiding behind his lawyers and he said that he had brought excitement to his character and Christian has not done for his character and then Edge left to not return. Randy Orton during the match was very careless with Christian throwing him throw garbage cans and two tables and the one where it was outside the ring Christian was thrown over the top rope and went through a table and Christian did get some stick shots. Randy Orton won his tittle back from Christian with a RKO.

The first match was unexpected as Kofi Kingston, Rey Mystrio, and John Morrison teamed up to face Alberto Del Rio, R-Truth, and the Miz and it was a match were Morrison got some high spots while Kofi Kingston stayed in the ring most of the match and they protected Mysterio as he still is hurt from last weekend but still got the hot tag and came off the top rope with his head butt.

Then Mark Henry beat Sheamus with Sheamus got some moves in but Mark Henry in the end spared Sheamus through the mates around the ring side and was counted out as he slowly moved towards the ring but did not make it back in time.

Kelly Kelly was a monster against Beth Phoenix and she dominated Beth and it ended with Beth trying to get the glam slam but Kelly Kelly rolled Beth up for a small package and the win.

Wade Barrett beat Daniel Bryant and Bryant had a good deal of strong moves

Stephanie McMahon was all over the show talking with CM Punk, coming out of John Cena's locker room, and also kissed triple H before he went to the ring. R-Truth had talked with Jimmy Hart back stage and asked Jimmy Hart was little Jimmy and he also past Ron Artiest and a girl and the show was destroyed by a ton of commercials, Se Lo Green singing a couple of songs and a guitarist of Tool playing the national anthem.

So it was had a good parts but a lot of down time made the show very slow

score Satellite radio has been axed by sirius radio

With merger between XM radio and sirius radio being finalized and score Satellite radio are going to be axed from sirius radio as of September 1 and is bad news for people of the score as people will be losing their jobs and it has already begun as the morning show called the morning Jones with Bomani Jones has been told he will not be back and this because he broadcasts from the United States. Puck daddy Greg Wyshynski is gone as well and he has already found a new gig as he already like a daily contributor on TSN 1050 radio during the James Cybulski and friends drive home show. Shows like ATA TAILGATE RADIO and TAUNTR will be long gone because as they are shows that score satellite radio pickup coming out of the US.

Then for most of the other programs that are recorded in the score studios will be going to stay and continue through the podcast format on the score website especially shows like timandsid:uncur and Red Heat along with 24 in 30 while shows like right after wrestling, the fight show, the footy show, a hockey show with like Rob Pizzo and RYAN HAINS, the basketball show (if there is a season) and any given Sunday. Then there are show that might be sticking around or not like broadly speaking, relentless, edge of sports, and WTF hockey this also may mean that some talent will be let go and probably producers will be sent packaging too.

The LAW is continue somewhere but I do not know if it would work as well if it is not live and how would they take calls either and I know that John Pollock and Wai ting have been trying live shows of review-a-raw or review-a-impact which have been hit and miss so it could be a last option but I believe they will try some else to if it is possible.

Shawn Avery is in jail for assault a police officer

So Shawn Avery has gotten himself in trouble again and this time it was not a pro same sex marriage advertisement, he was not running down other NHL players for going out with his EX, and did not even do something stupid. Instead he just had a simple house party at his LA pad and it got a little to noisy for his neighbors who called the police @ 1 AM local time.

So Shawn Avery during his house party and the police showed up more than once as they showed up twice because the party was did not quiet down after the first time and then when the police arrived the second time Shawn Avery came out and listened to the police and then he did not like what they said so he tried to get back into his house. This when it got blizzard at time when it was reported that Avery assaulted a police office while trying to get back into the house and when he finally got back into his house he slammed the door in the face of the officers at which time they continued to talk to Avery through the door but when he refused to comeback out again the officer called for some backup. When Avery finally came back out of his house at which time he was arrested for assaulting the officer and was taken away to jail and his bail was set at 20 K and so far nobody have bailed him out yet but someone will be soon.

So Avery just does not know how to keep himself out of trouble just A-Rod but that's a whole different story as has Bud is looking into the celebrities poker that he has been involved for years and its going get very juicy by the end. Also just like A-rod Avery will need to keep a lower profile before he is out of the league because nobody whats that headache on their team.

Shea Weber gets a 7.5 million ruling and now what happens

Shea Weber has received a ruling on his contract for next season and he will be the highest fifth highest paid defenseman in the NHL next year as he was awarded 7.5 million dollars which trails only Buffalo's newest arrive Christian Ehrhoff at 10 million, Stanley Cup winner Chara at 8.5 million, North trophy winner Duncan Keith @ 8 millions, and finally Hart and Norris trophy winner Chris Pronger with a salary of 7.6 million. So what does this mean for the Nashville Predators and for right now it means a smoke screen as they are talking about signing defense RYAN SUTER and GOALIE PEKKA RINNE who are UFA after next season while also looking at signing Weber to a long term contract but it is unlikely to happen because the Nashville Predators are one of the teams that stay at the salary floor.

So in reality what is going to happen is that Shea Weber will be traded most like before the beginning of the regular season as teams will be lining up for the almost 26 year old Shea Weber who has scored 80 goals and 134 assists and 214 points with a + 7 last season plus/minus and his best plus/minus was his first full season with the Predators with a + 13 in 2006-07 and his best numbers were in the 2008-09 season with 23 goals, 30 assists, and 53 points. The Predator will get pretty good trade options especially before the regular season because teams will be willing to give the Predators a great package as they will have time to get a long time deal done with Shea Weber. The teams likely to have the cap room is the Toronto Maple Leafs who need to spend their money on top NHL players but I do not know what they will be able to give the Predators for him but it is the most likely the option for teams and another team would be the Edmonton Oilers who need an experience wherever they can get it and they have cap room as well along with the Winnipeg Jets who could be making their big splash. After that it would be the usual suspect of the Red Wings, Devils, Capitals, Flyers, Sharks, and maybe even the Sabres.

So however gets Weber they will have a great defenseman for the next quite a few seasons and be a strong hold on anyone's backline.

Randy Moss retires as one of the best receivers in NHL history

Randy Moss retired today and he was a very talented wide receiver with great skill set and was outstanding with the Minnesota Vikings between 1998-2004 with 574 catches for 8375 yards and 90 TDs with 52 of the catches were for more 40 yards and after his rookie season of 69 catches for 1313 yards with 17TDs along with 14 catches for more than 40 yards the NFL were floored by the 21st overall draft pick in 1998 draft by the Vikings. The Vikings were 15 and 1 and were one of the strongest offense and it looked like the Vikings were going to be unstoppable for seasons to come and after six strong seasons with his strongest season being 2003 were he catch 111 passes for 1632 yards and 17 TDs to go with 27 catches of over 20 yards. After the 2003 season Randy Moss and his ego became impossible to control and between 2004 and 2006 it would hurt the teams he was with along with hurting his output on the field as he would not play all out as he catch 151 passes for 1325 yards with 24 TDs along with 32 catches for more than 20 yards and 11 of them for more than 40 yards as he played his final season with the Vikings were he did most of his talk off the field especially about quarterback Daunte Culpepper and not being able to get him the ball as he had 8 TDs in the first 5 games of the season and then sustained an leg injury. In the next two seasons Moss was in the black hole known as the Oakland Raiders and he had nagging injuries and an interest in playing and had 102 catches for 1558 yards and 11 TDs and he was invisible in the NFL for these two seasons. Randy Moss after his two seasons in the black hole he stepped out and entered the palace known as Foxsborro and the New England Patriots and he immediately got healthy and very happy playing with Tom Brady and the winning organization and put up his best season in the NFL in his first season with the Patriots as he had 98 catches for 1493 yards with a NFL record 23 TDs with 18 catches of over 20 yards and 9 of them were over 40 yards as he made his first superbowl appearance. He then followed that up with 2 seasons of 69 catches and 83 catches for a total of 2272 with 24 TDs and was a team player after he signed a new contract of 3 years and 27 Million dollars which was less than his 8 year and 75 million dollar deal he signed in 2001 with the Vikings but in the final season of his contract and what would turn out to be his final NFL season. He came out before the season he said he was not wanted by the Patriots and after the first game of the season he came out and said it would be his final season with the Patriots and it started a season of moves as he played 4 games for the Patriots and 4 games back in Minnesota before spending the second half with the Titans and all three teams used little to nothing and the writing on the wall for one of the most talented wide receivers in NFL history. He really did not want to play hard when the going got tough and he may of had the talent to be the best receiver in NFL history but not the heart as he ended up second in TDs with 153 and he is top 10 in catches (954) and yards (14,858) while his 76 catches of over 40 yards showed his speed when he wanted to use it.
