Things we learn this past decade in sports

Things we learn this past decade in sports

- Brett Farve is the boy who cried "I'm retiring" and nobody beleaved him
- Bigger is not allows better as kickers had a field day with the big screen TV @ new Cowboys stadium as they keep try to hit it during practice and then some actual dentally hit it during the game and it is like in the field of play
-Manny just wants to be Manny
- The curse of Babe Ruth can be broken just fall down 3-1 and look like you don't care
- The Toronto Maple are scaried of competition (on and off the ice)
- Baseball peaked at their stroid problem and then pulled the covers over their heads again and hoped it was only a nighmare.
- The NFL rewards players who are caught using stroid (Shawn Merriman defensive MVP after sitting out 4 games for stroid use)
- Americans can handle one hockey game a year (winter classic)
- Use can make a 3-ball every game in a decade and not even get to the NBA finals (Dallas and Toronto)
- That superstars really want to play together in the NBA (Lakers, Celtics, and Heat)
- The Yankees can spend money very poorly (A.J. Barnett, Jason Giambi, Carl Pavano)
- Not good enough to make the playoffs and not bad enough to get a top 5 draft pick leaves NFL in limbo (Buffalo Bills)
- A grocery bag check out guy (Kurt Warner) can take one of the worest franchise in NFL history (Cardinals) to the Superbowl
- It does pay to be one of the worest teams in the NHL for a few years (Penquins/Capitals)
- Tom Brady (Patriots) and Payton Manning (Colts) are very lucky players to be playing on the teams their on because Manning could have been Leaf and Brady is made by the system.
- If you are a western team in the NFL you can go from worst to first over night as the AFC and NFC West are both not good.

team of the decade in the NFL

As the first decade of the 21 century is coming to a close on the weekend I thought what was the best team (franchise) in the NFL for this time period and this is what I came up with the New England Patriots.

To start the run to fourth Superbowl appearances and 3 championships of 4 season like most things happened when people lest respected it with your francise quarterback Drew Bledsoe (just signed a 10/100m contract) gets hurt in the second game of the 2001 season and is out for the rest of the season. Then a 6-round pick in Tom Brady comes in and after starting the season 0-2 in the following 14 games of the season Brady guided the Patriots to a 11-3 record and the 6 of the season. Then on a snowy day on January 22Nd,2002 @ Foxboro Stadium where for the first and only time in NFL history a rule called the Tuck Rule where it was ruled that Brady's arm was going forward as he was sacked which overturned a fumble call on the field that would of ended the game but instead the Patriots were able to kick a game-tying 47 yard field goal to send the game to overtime where the Patriots beat the Raiders, 16-13. Then beat the Steelers and then the defending Superbowl champions the St. Louis Rams @ superbowl XXXVI and Tom Brady was named superbowl MVP and Adam Vinatieri kicked a 48 yard field goal on the last play of the superbowl to win it for the Patroits.

Bill Belichick is the mastermind of the team of the decade because the team has allows prided themselves on their defense and when palyers left the defence for the big bucks else where he would be able to find through the draft, free agancy, or by trade and the team would not miss a beat. He has allows been able to come up with a game plan to win and more often they would (125 - 50 record in the 2000's even with a 5-11 record in 2000) and he has brought in average running backs and it has been enough to get the job done. Then the wide receivers have a been a group and not individuals and the best example of this that the team was more successful before Randy Moss (3 Superbowl championship) and after he left as the 2010 (13-2) is their best season since 2007 and it was looking like early in the season it was going to be a rebuilding season for the defense. Then he has brought back a wide receiver that was best in the Patriots system Deion Branch and Wes Welker is the quietist # 1 receiver on the best team in the NFL.

Adam Vinatieri was a huge part of the 3 superbowl in 4 seasons with the last play 48-yard field in 2002, a game winning 41-yard field goal in 2004, and finally a game deciding 22-yard field goal in 2005 and was key player for the Patriots before he went to the Colts for the money.

Tom Brady was leader of the team since 2001 and has 2 superbowl MVPs and was the NFL MVP for the 2007 season where he throw 50 TD passes where the Patriots were undefeated in the regular season (16-0). He has won 27 straight regular season home games and he also holds the record for most consecutive pass attempts (308) without an interception and has the five best passer rating with 95.0 of QBs who have thrown atleast 1500 passes while he is 15-3 in the playoffs.

But ofcourse the Patriots are not without their controversal moments with Eric Mangini (former Patriots assistant coach) blowing the whisile on the Patriots for video taping signal calling when he was the head coach of the New York Jets and also the Rams had a complaint about the Patriots having one of their people sticking around after their practice @ the Patriots-Rams Superbowl and video taped the practice. Then their is that one and only use of the tuck rule that won the Patriots-Raiders game for them because if it was called a fumble the game would have been over but instead it was the beginning of the decade of the Patriots.

New York Giants and the sunday nighter now going to be a tuesday nighter

If you listen closely you can hear Tom Coughlin photo copying his resume so that when he is released by The Giants after all the mess with the CBA is settled because the way the fourth quarter Vs the Engles was handled was horrible with Coughlin chewing out the Punter @ the end of the game on the sideline. Then today during the game with the Packers when something went wrong you could see a coach yelling at the player and then u also saw Eli Manning yelling @ a receiver who messed up and a Packer defender picked off a Manning Pass. So it looks like nobody is incharged of the team as everybody is pointing fingers @ eachother and it looks like nobody has any composer especially in a huge win and your in game and now they need the biggest miricle. So that now they need the Bears to go to Green Bay and play the Packers and win when the Bears have nothing to gain and will not field a professional team as most players will be not play the whole game. Then we go back to the way the Giants ended last season with a 3-8 after starting with 5-0 and their last game @ old Giant Stadium being a 41-9 loss to the Carolina Panthers and then a 44-7 loss to Minnesota Vikings on the road and if they would have one these 2 games they would have been 10-6 they would have been in the playoffs or extremmely close and instead they got slattered 85-16. He could of been fired last year but was given a second chance and this year ending was as bad if not worst.

Then there is the poor poor Vikings fans who had all the hopes of getting to the NFC championship game and had all the right to think this after last season's ending and hoping to finally win a Superbowl. Then the Brett Farve situation took control of the season and the hopes and dreams all died the quick death like most years and now the fans just want the season to end and then the Metro dome roof collapsed and now they have to wait til Tuesday to play their second last game of the season as their is huge snow storm in Philly.

There is always next year? atleast Adrian Peterson will still be there

thoughts of the Christmas NFL and the big Sunday match-ups

Christmas Day Game - Cowboys Vs Cardinals

The game started with Dallas QB Jon Kitina thrown to Arizona TDs (INTs for TDs) to give the Cardinals a 14-0 and then Jon Kitina throws a TD pass and then gets hurt and leaves the game, 14-10. Cardinals QB John Skelton throws a TD pass to Andre Roberts for 74 yards to them up 21-10 and Marion Barber runs one in for a TD and both teams exchanged field goals and it is 24-20 with 2 minutes left. Then the fun happens Cowboy QB Stephen McGee throws a 37-yard TD pass to Miles Austin that goes throw the defenders hands and the extra point puts the Cowboys up by a field goal but the kicker misses it and the Cowboys are up 2. The Cardinals then have the game on the line 4Th and 15 and John Skelton finds Larry Fitzgarald (only catch of the day) for 26 yards and with no timeouts left he throws and finds Max Komar for 19 yards and the ball is at the 25 and they go up to spike the ball with 10-seconds left. The Cardinals are called for illegal formation that puts them back 5 yards but if it was a false start the clock would have run off 10 seconds and the game would have been over but Jay Feely is given a chance and kicks a game winning 48 yard field goal.

The Big games of Sundy

Saints @ Falcons

Plot: Falcons win they win the divison and one step closer to home field throughout the playoffs where Matt Ryan has only lost once in his three years in the NFL and if the Saints win they still have a chance @ the divison and maybe home field.

How the Saints can win this game:

The Saints need to rattle Matty Ice and have him throw some interceptions to shorten the field because this is going to be a high scoring game as both teams are known for their offenses and their defenses are their weaknesses. Drew Brees will need to manager the game and put together long drives to keep the Falcons offense off the field and use some of his last game magic to put a second home loss on Matty Ice.

How the Falcons can win this game:

The Falcons need a very good game from Matt Ryan and have him come up with his late game magic and to have him put together long drives to keep the Saints offense off the field and to have the defense step and stop the Saints at times to give the offense the chance to win the game.

How I think will win the game:

Falcons and Matt Ryan will win this game because with only 1 lose in 3 seasons he is extremmely comfortable at the Georgia Dome and will find some late game magic to put the game away and go on to the playoffs where they will not need to leave home until the Superbowl.

Giants Vs Packers

Plot: If the Giants win they go to the playoffs and the Packers need to be concerned about Arron Rogers head (concusion 2 weeks ago).

How the Giants can win the game:

Eli Manning needs to hand the ball off to Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs and let them run over the Packers run defense (117 yards per game) and if the combo is stopped Eli will need to strech the defense through the air to the likes of Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham and TE Kevin Boss. The Giants need to have their defense in Rogers face all day to give him less time to scan the field and find open receivers and finally the Giants will need to score early to get the crowd out of the game and not let that fourth quarter collapse last week (28 straight points given up in the fourth quarter to loss their chance @ the divison aganist the Engles) affect them.

How the Packers can win the game:

Arron Rogers head needs to be clear and focused and to find his open receivers like Greg Jennings, James Jones, and Donald Driver while they get something out of their running game Brandon Jackson with 685 yards through 14 games which is less than 50 a game and they are in the bottom third in rushing. The Offensive line needs to protct Rogers back to keep him up right and the defense needs to make life miserable for Eli and get him to throw interceptions to shorten the field and keep the home crowd on their side.

Who I think will win the game:

Until Rogers comes out and is able to play his game his way again i.e. throw the ball around the field for lots of yardage after having a concussion only 2 weeks ago I will have to say the Giants will win this game and make the playoffs this season and the run game in a cold stadium will not hurt at all.

Enjoy the games

Christmas day football, Devils fire their coach, and thoughts about Christmas

Dallas Cowboys Vs Arizona Cardinals

I guess the NFL was banking on the Cowboys to be leading the NFC East or just fighting for a playoff positon and before the season started the Cowboys were one of the favourites to be challenge for a superbowl appearance @ home in brand new Cowboys Stadium. The Cardinals have been what is to be expected from them which was that they had nobody to throw the ball to Larry Fitzgerald and the first contestant matt leinart got cut before the regular season started and went with Derek Anderson who still not get the ball to Fitzgerald. So all those retired oil moguls that are in Arizona and fill the seats every year when the Cowboys come to town will be happy because the Cowboys under Chan Gaily will take the Cardinals to the woodshad and the game will be down by half-time.

The Devils fired John Maclean two days before Christmas and this is the same person Lou Lamoriello who fired the head coach in the past 3 games before the end of the regular season when they were one of the top teams going into the playoff so this behaviour not surprising to me. Also the battle with the NHL this past summer over the Ilya Kovalchuk contract that handcuffed the Devils so much that they played one of their first games this season with 15 skaters and have put the team in last place in the Eastern Conference after the team they were tied with the New York Islanders took them out back and messed them up really good with a 5-1 win.
I do not think they will make the playoffs but probally be a bit better with their new head coach Jacques Lemaire but in the end if you are the Devils being one of the worst teams in the NHL and get a high draft pick would not be a bad thing.

Christmas is about being thankful for the people around you and not the gifts you get and to spend some quality time with the ones you love is the best gift that anyone can have during the holiday season because there will always be someone that is struggling more than you and have way less than you but are still happy. If you do like to shop you can join the big mob at the local mall the day after Christmas and try to find those great deals and if you do please be very careful because the holiday spirit in most is finished after Christmas day and are out only for themselves again so someone may get hurt out there.

Merry Merry Merry Holidays no matter what u celbrate

NFL Thursday Nighter - Panthers Vs Steelers

NFL Thursday Nighter - Panthers Vs Steelers

Plot: If Steelers win their last 2 games they get the # 2 seed in the AFC and that the Steelers are resting a bunch of their players especially Troy Polamalu.

How Can the Steelers win: Big Ben will be handing off a lot to Rashard Menden because the Panthers run defense (126.2/per game) is one of the worest in the NFL and if the Psnthers can stop the run then Big Ben will to try and strech the field through the air aganist one of the lowest passing defense. The Steelers have one of the best rush defense (63.4/per game) so they will pin their ears back and head straight for either Panther QB Jimmy Clausen and/or Matt Moore and make it hard to go deep because he may not have enough time.

How Can the Panthers win: The way the Panthers can win this game is by getting lucky and having the Steelers cough up the ball and giving the Panthers easy points (defensive TD) and that the Steelers think a head to the holidays with their family and over look the Panthers. The running combo get some good yardage on the ground (Jonathan Stewart and Mike Goodson) and Steve Smith goes off for a really good game under national media.

Who I think will win: The Pittsburgh Steelers are a vetern team that have been in these situations many times over the years and under Mike Tomlin the Steelers are 6-1 @ home aganist the NFC and the Steelers maybe able to just run the ball down the Panthers throat. The Steelers have given up the fewest points this season so I do not think they will give up a lot to the Panthers low scoring offense and it could be over by the end of the first quarter so I do not know what the NFL was thinking putting the Panthers on National TV as they were not looking like a good team before the season when this decision was made.

Having fun last minute shopping

Sid the kid point streak

It looks like sidney Crosby woke up one day and looked at the point leaders and saw that second year player Steven Stamkos was running away with it early. Then Sidney Crosby started his point steak which is now @ 21 games with 21 goals and 21 assists for 42 points over this point streak with 2 hats, 5 multi-goal games, 14 multi-assists games. During the streak the Pittsburgh Penquins went on a 12-game winning streak and Sidney Crosby carried the team and a point in every game the Penquins since November 5Th which is over a month and a half and if it lasts til New Years day and the outdoor classic it would be an even bigger story as it is the one hockey game the Americans watch ever year.

The record is Wayne Gretzky's 51 game point streak (61G-92A-153P) and these totals would be an all world season and he put up all these points in 51 games and had 52 in his last 23 games in the 1983-84 season and Crosby would need 10 points in his next 2 games to match these totals.

I think Crosby is on a really great point streak but looking at the Gretzky's point streak it quite noticable that in the last quarter of a century the style of hockey has gone from a wide open game to a much more defensive game and in the end I beleave that nobody will come close to matching Gretzky streak until hockey goes back wide open hockey style.

Go Sidney Go

Monday Night Football - Chicago Bear Vs Minnesota Vikings and Zack Grinkie

Monday Night Football - Chicago Bear Vs Minnesota Vikings

Plot: Bears win and their in the playoff and that much closer to winning the NFC North and the Vikings are playing their first outdoor home game in 29 years.

How the Vikings could win the game:

The Vikings could win this game if Adrian Peterson goes off on the snowy cold field and no matter if Bret play or not the quarterback will need to do enough to move the chain. Also they need to pressure Jay Cutler as he has been sack 43 times this season and the run game has average 98 years a game and if it is snowy and a run game the Bears maybe stuffed the Vikings front four.

How the Bears could win the game:

The Bears will need to stop Adrian Peterson and have Matt Forte have a good running game to keep the pressure off Kay Cutler and allow him to stretch the defense through the air and have the Bears defense come up big and get some big turnovers to shorten the field. While getting help on kickoff from Danieal Manning averaging 26 yards a return and get some charge the field punt returns.

Who I beleave will win:

The Vikings are a mess and to have Bret trying to take the headlines can not help the team getting focused for what is one of those play well so I can still have a job next season kind of game. So with the Bears have everything to play for they will come out and get dirty for the win which I can not say for the Vikings at this point in time and the field will be a new experience for everybody involved so I think the Bears are going to win the game and it could be a double digit win.

Zack Greinke going to Milwaukee Brewers will be better for his shakey confidence/depression problems of the past to not reappear which would of been hard in New York New York. With the run production of the Brewers and being in a different league will help him be more like the pitcher with the ERA of 2.16 (16-8 in 2009) than the 4.17 ERA (10-13 in 2010) because he knew that he would almost have to be perfect to win the game because the Royals would only give a run or 2 support. He may not be as good as the Phillies pitchers but he should be good enough for atleast 15 wins this up coming season because he will not have as much pressure on him eventhough he will to expected to get the Brewers back to the playoffs.

See U Tomorrow

WWE TLC and highlights from the NFL sunday

WWE -TLC 2010

Main event - Cena Vs Barrett

The best part of the match was when Barrett was out cold and Cena put him in a board room chair (comfortable soft chair) and rolls him down the ramp into a set of steel steps and Cena got the stf on to Barrett to win the match. Barrett crawls up the ramp and at the end Cena barried Barrett with a lot of chairs.

The Diva tag team table match - Laycool Vs Beth Phoniex and Natalya

Laycool were thrown into the table but it did not break so then Natalya jumped on top of the table and Laycool went through the table and Phoniex and Natalya win the tag match.

Triple Threat ladder match - Dolph Ziggler Vs Jack Swagger Vs Kofi Kingston

Kofi and Swagger were top of the ladder and holding the belt but it slips through their fingers and fall to the mat and Ziggler picks up the belt and runs out of the ring and is called the winner.

Tag team championship match

Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater and with interference from the rest of Nextus and Marella and Kozlov win by DQ.

John Morrison vs. Sheamus

John Morrison vs. Sheamus in a ladder match for the No.1 contender for the wwe champion

Morrison and Sheamus have a good match with Sheamus working over Morrison leg after having it trapped in a ladder and then fights his way at the end and finally graps the contract.

Miz (with Alex Riley) Vs Randy Orton for the WWE Chapionship in a table match

Whenever Randy Orton setup a table to put Miz through it Riley would move the table out of the way and then Orton got fed up with Riley so he got a hold of Riley and put Riley through the table with a powerbomb and Miz came up with the skull crushing fanally and with the Ref out cold Miz moved Riley out of the way and put Orton in his place to win. Then the ref looks at the reply and calls the match to restart it again and then with a table set outside of the ring and Orton was on the ring apern and Miz throw Riley into him and Orton falls through the table and Miz cheats twice and keeps his title.

Kane vs Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio vs Edge
ladders match for the world championship

Edge faught Kane and got the others to help team up aganist Kane and Rey would get on the ladder and Del Rio would stop him every time and Del Rio never went up the ladder but his announcer tried to go up the ladder once but Kane choke slam and Edge finally struggles up the ladder and gets the title to be the new world champ.

Sunday in the NFL - New York New York

The New York Giants were up 21 points in the fourth quarter and DeShean Jackson had punt return of 65-yards on the last play of the game and Engles have won the NFC East because the Giants would have to win the last 2 games while the Engles lose both games.

The New York Jets had to fend off the Steelers offense at the end of the game and kept them out of the end zone and won a game that could really help them make the playoffs.

The Colts beat the Jags and took control of the AFC South which is important because only the divison winner will make the playoff this season and Austin Collie coming back from a concussion had 2 big TD catches from Payton Manning before he had to leave the game again with another concussion.

Ray Rice ran over the saints 31 times for 153 yards to hand the Saints their first lose in 7 games as the Ravens gain some ground on the Steelers in the AFC North with the win.

WWE TLC and NFL key games to keep a eye on Sunday

WWE TLC - December 19,2010

Divas Champion Natalya & Beth Phoenix vs. Team Lay-Cool (Divas Tag Team Tables Match)

Natalya & Beth Phoenix will win the match because Phoenix is not ready to turn on Natalya and Layla will be the one to go through the table and it will be a quick match. I think thar someone will be legitmently hurt just watch last weeks match between Mickie James Vs Tara in a steal cage match where Tara distroyed her arm.

John Morrison vs. Sheamus (Ladder Match)

This match will have some good high spots especially from John Morrison and Sheamus will win the match to keep him strong for when Thriple H comes back faud with Sheamus and it will be a good match because the high spots will make the match.

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger (Triple Threat Ladder Match)

Jack Swagger will be the new IC champion and it will bring great promos and will bring a little bit of life back to the IC title and with Kofi the only flyer of the three and none of them being great wrestlers it maybe a train wreck.

John Cena vs. Wade Barrett (Chairs Match)

I have no idea what a chair match involves I guess it means the only wapon someone can use with the Ref looking is a chair and then it is wrestling match besides being able to use a chair. John Cena will win the match and will end the Cena/Nexus feud but will heat up the Barrett/Otonga feud that will bring the end of Nexus as we know it and it is going to be a not so good match as it is more about the story lines and neither is a great wresler.

World Heavyweight Champion Kane vs. Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)

Two story lines put into a single match as Rey wants to get even with Alberto Del Rio and Kane wants to get even with Edge for "killing" his father and Edge wants to get the title back. Del Rio and Rey are probably fight to the back at some point and then Edge will be able to sneak in and steal the title he has done on a few occasions and with Rey and Edge in the match they will carry the match and it should be a good match because of them in the match.

WWE Champion The Miz vs. Randy Orton (Tables Match)

Randy Orton will take a skull crushing fanally through the table and Miz will be the only Champ to keep his title (Natalya title is not on the line) with some help from his student Alex Reily and maybe even the brief case when the Ref is distracted and the story will be good and the match should also be good.

Key NFL games on Sunday

Green Bay Packers Vs New England Patriots

The Packers with or without Arron Rogers (doubtful) will not end Brady's home winning steak at 26 because I feel that Tom Brady and the Patriots are too good for the Packers especially with all those injuries pilling up for the Packers and I do not see the Patriots looking past the Packers which would be the only way the Packers win Sunday.

Philadelphia Engles Vs New York Giants

With a few bad weeks in a row for the Engles in a row will Michael Vick be able to take down the Giants and I beleive that the Giants will be able to pressure Vick and he may have another interception this sunday at the New Giants Stadium. With Eli will be able to throw aganist the Engles defense and if not they still have a better running back combo than the Engles and they will want to repay the Engles for beating the Giants in Philly a month a go.

New Oreleans Saint Vs Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens Defense may give Drew Brees a lot of pressure and it may be time for the Saints (6 game winning streak) to lose a game and Baltimore is probably not going to be nice sunny weather and the Saints have the majority of their games indoors (Atlanta also has a dome). For the Ravens Flacco does not need to do a lot to win the game because the Ravens Defense will not give up a lot of points so the key for him is to not force throws which could creat turnovers.

Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Indianapolis Colts

The winner of this game will be in the drivers seat with 2 games remending in the regular season and if your the Jags you will be hoping to run the ball at will and keep the ball out of Payton Manning's hands going a run defense that has giving up huge yards on the ground in the Colts. Payton will continue to air out the ball but he showed last Thursday that he can hand the ball off to his backs and will probably try to continue that early in the game and most importantly the Colts have been in a # of pressure game and are at home and the Jags have not and are on the road so I will say "the Colts will win and be in the plsyoffs this season".

Enjoy all the games and entertainment you can handle on Sunday it is going to be good

Thursday Nighter, The Leafs, and 24/7

Thursday Nighter - Niners Vs Chargers

From the unwanted files to the welcome back status comes Vincent Jackson, a widereceiver for the Chargers who held out half the season and then the team put a 3 game suspendion on him which meant he got back on the football feild a couple of weeks a go and last night he went off pulling in 3 TDs for the Chargers. Jackson had 112 yards receiving while the Niners as a offense could only mustar up 192 all game in getting beat down by the Chargers 34-7 while Phillip Rivers (19 of 25 for 273 years) was got the job done and the Chargers are now 8-6 and if the Chiefs lose on Sunday the Chargers will have a share of first in the AFC West.

The Leafs gave up 3 goals to the Calgary Flames in 57 seconds near the end of the second period to make it 4-1 on their way to a 5-2 victory and Jean-Sebastien Giguere gave up goals to Alex Tanguay, Olli Jokinen, and Rene Bourque and was taking out after 40 minutes. This performance by the Leafs almost wipes out the great game they had aganist the Oilers 4-1 a couple of nights before and passed the Oilers in the standings but last night the Oilers had a win to pass the Leafs in the standings again.

Bruce Boudreau had a lot saltery lanuage and stole the spot light from the players with a rant in a second period intermission where he used the F word like 15 times in 80 seconds and I hope the players are able to show their personalities like Maxim Talibot (Penquins) and Alex Ovechkin (Capitals) who have great personalities

Thanks

Thursday Nighter, Sid the kid, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cliff Lee

Thursday Night Football - Niners Vs Chargers

Why the Niners will win the game - Alex Smith had a great gsme last week and the Niners started 0-5 and since they are 5-3 and have been doing what it takes to win games (turnovers/shorted field, no turnovers yourself, Alex Smith moving the chains, and getting enough of a run game) and Niners are in the middle of the pack in tackling.

Why the Chargers will win the game - Phillip Rivers has had a great season so far (passing % 65.5, 24 TDs, 10 interceptions, and 3642 passing yards) and if the Chargers win it will going to be because Rivers has a good game as they do not have a real running game this year and the defense is not a strong point this season as they are in the second worst in the league in tackling but have 10 more sacks (38-28).

Who I think will win - Both teams have 13 ints and have a poor record aganist the other conference (Chargers 1-2 and Niners 2-1) so I beleave that Rivers and the Chargers (5-2 @ home) will do enough to win the game aganist the Niners (1-5 on the road) but it may be a lot closer than most 7-6 (Chargers) and 5-8 (Niners) match-ups.

Sid the kid had 2 assists in the Pittsburgh Penquins loss to Philadelphia Flyers and ended their 12-game winning streak

Pittsburgh Pirates who have been torched because it was found out that they made money and that their average salary is 1.1 mil but now the Pirates went out and signed Lyle Overbay for 5 mil and that like any other team paying him 10 mil. Lyle Overbay is not that good and if he is going to be the face of the team it may not be a very good choice for most teams but worst for the Pirates who do not sell out their games.

Cliff Lee left 50 mil on the table when he stuck up his noise to the New York Yankees as he decided to re-up with the Philadelphia Phillies for 5 years - 100 milion dollars and I hear that the main reason is because his son is sick and him and his family wanted to be close to a good children's hospital. Also others are thinking that if it was not for Yankees fans says discouraging words towards his wife during the ALCS that he would be a Yankee next year and I feel that going to Philly could make him and his fellow pitchers like Roy Oswalt and Roy Halladay becomes legendary pitching rotation.

Enjoy the football

Perez Hilton is what wrong with world and Lions fans getting a reward for decades of trouble teams

Perez Hilton to get some pub he said he would not say anything bad about anyone on PerezHilton.com because of a anti-bullying campaign and now it turns out that he has another blog under unratedPerezHilton.com and that is where he puts his ranchy stuff so he can keep his ranchy crowd and keep the advertising money coming.

Detroit Lions fans can go to Ford field and watch the Giants/Vikings game for free as the game has been moved from Minnesota to Detroit and it maybe the best matchup they have seen in quite a few years and more talent on the field in atleast a decade.

Andy Fantuz of the Saskatchenwan Roughriders (CFL) will be having a tryout with both Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings of the NFL this week. If he gets signed by either team I would like to wish him the best of luck and to thsnk for a great number of outstanding seasons with my favourite football team (Saskatchenwan Roughriders).

2 monday nighter

There are 2 Monday Nighter this week

Game 1 - New York Giants Vs. Minnestoa Vikings

Plot - Just like the Minnestoa Vikings crumbled under the pressure of getting Brett Farve back to quarterback them the metrodome crumbled under the pressure of snow on the roof. Also will Brett play in the game and I'm thinking its a 50/50 shoot and will Giants keep on their winning ways and stay in the race for the divison title.

How can the Vikings win the game - If Farve does not play then Adrian Peterson will be the work horse and Jackson can move the chain when needed and the defense gets turnovers and shorten the field for the offense and with an average of 127 yards rushing a game.

How can the Giants win the game - The Giants are the better team having scored a touchdown more on offensive and 15 yards more a game rushing and 31 yards more throw the air than Vikings and Eli Manning needs to control the offense by mixing up between passing and running games and take the crowd out of the game if they are that excited because the Vikings have nothing to win after being a NFC championship game contender at the beginning of the season.

Who do I think will win - The Giants are too talented and have way more to loss if they do not show up and the offense just needs to mix it up to move the chains and Manning needs to be better than whoever is QBing the Vikings.

Game 2 - Baltimore Ravens Vs Houston Texans

Plot - Ravens need to keep pace with the Steelers and to get back on the winning track again and can Joe Flacco win on the road or can the Texans find a way to get enough points on the amazing Ravens defense.

How can the Ravens win the game - It is simply Flacco does enough to move the chains after Rice and McGahee runs the ball Flacco will be able to psss the ball on third and short or medium and Flacco may want to try to throw deep as while and the defense can stop the run (average 98 y/g) and Matt Schaub may have pressure of the Ravens defense on him all game long.

How can the Texans win the game - What the Texans have on their side is they have the best Running back in the NFL this season (Arian Foster with a 102.5 average per game) and Matt Schaub has a 100 yards and 2 TDs more than Joe Flacco but their defense needs to man up because it is so much worse than the Ravens.

Who I think will win - The Ravens are more talented than the Texans and the Ravens could eat up Schaub for desert with all their pressure and if they can get a lead the pressure will get even more tough to handle especially if they can stop Arian Foster on the ground.

Enjoy the game u get because they are playing at the same time atleast after 8:30 after the Giants Vs Vikings first quarter

UFC 124 - Hero Vs Villain

George St. Pierre Vs Josh Koscheck

George St. Pierre was on offense and Josh Koscheck was on defense all 5 rounds and he threw gabs at Koscheck's right eye and sent leg kicks to Koscheck's left leg and St. Pierre could not keep Koscheck down on the mat because as soon he went down he would get up immediately. This is the only thing St. Pierre could not do during the match and Koscheck blocked a lot of takedown from St. Pierre and by the third round Koscheck's right eye was closed and the doctor came in and the announcers were horrified that the match could have been stopped by the doctor. St. Pierre won the unanimous decision over Koscheck (50-45) and St. Pierre thanks Koscheck for all promos to set-up the match and for showing up in Montreal.

Thiago Alves had a great game plan aganist John Howard and controled the whole match and won a unanimous decision (30-27) and Mac Danzig with one counter-punched knoucked out Joe Stevenson at 1:54 of the first round. Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira went back and force until Jim Miller hocked on a leg lock on Charles Oliveira who tapped out and Sean McCorkle controlled the match until Stefan Struve got the advantage and finished off Sean McCorkle at 3:55 of the first round.

I feel that with all the action with thing like one punch finishing a match and St. Pierre domonence over Koscheck was very good and the extremmely excited for the finishes of the matches and going crazy for St. Pierre all match made it a very good card and Dana White should be very happy.

Thanks

NFL Thursday Nighter - Colts are staying alive

Thursday nighter - Colt Vs Titans

The Colts controlled the majority of the first half with Dwight Freeney causing a fumble by Titans's Kenny Britt and covered colts's Tyjuan Hagler and Payton Manning goes down and scores with help from a 50-yard catch by Reggie Wayne. Then the Titans had the ball go over the punter's head and he has to cover it and 2 plays later Pierre Garcon catches a TD pass from Manning and then the Titans get the ball on their own 45 and then Nate Washington catches a 21-yard pass from Kerry Collins and then Collins passes to Chris Johnson who runs for 25 yards and then runs in the first Titans offensive TD in 14 quarters. The Colts were up 21-7 going into the second half and Randy Moss sat most of the first half with his fur coat on and sitting with the kicker and got a big cheer when he did get on the feild. The Titans got a big run by Chris Johnson for 20 yards and a 18 yard catch by Kenny Britt to make a 7-yard TD pass to Craig Stevens possible to make it 21-14. Then a Reggie Wayne 46 yard catch set-up a 21-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri and it was followed by a strong drive by Manning including some runs including a 4 and 4 and Javarris James ran for 11 yards to set-up another Adam Vinatieri field goal this one 28 yards to make it 27-14. Then Chris Johnson's 37 yard run helped set-up a Bo Scaife 4 yard TD catch to make it 27-21 and then a Colts 3 and out and a Titans 3 and out and then finally goes deep to Pierre Garcon for 47-yard on the second play from the line scrimmage to set-up a Adam Vinatieri 47 yard dagger to go up 9 points 30-27. Then the Titans misused the clock by not getting out of bounds to stop the clock and had short plays take way to long but on the final play of the game Collins throws his 200th career TD to Bo Scaife and the Colts break their 3-game losing streak and the Titans extended their to 6-games with a Colt 30-28 victory.

Payton Manning tied the record with his 63Rd 300-yard game and tied Dan Marino and he used his running game more (32 for 87 yards) and did not have an interception after have 11 in the past 3 games and had 3 huge plays of over 40-yards in the game to keep their divison title hope alive now being 7-6. While Kerry Collins had 3 TDs and Chris Johnson had a big run and a big catch and Bo Scaife had 2 TD catches and Randy Moss had no catches and was not used a lot and looked like he was already on the outs with his team-mates because when the offensive players got together to try and straight out the offense he was not apart of it.

Colts still alive,

Tom Mehegan

Thursday Nighter - Colts Vs Titans

Thursday Night Football

Colts - Payton Manning is less than human and his Colts (6-6) are having problems winning games and in the last 3 games which were all losses and Payton Manning has 11 interceptions over these 3 games. The major problem is that they have a lot of injuries so that Reggie Wayne is the only the receiver Manning really can throw to and they do not have a real running game since Joseph Addai got hurt and Payton Manning is leading the league in passing with 3709 yards and has thrown 15 interceptions this season.

Titans - They have lost 5 straight games after a 5-2 start to the season leading the division and then Vince Young and Jeff Fisher getting into a heated agruement on the sidelineand Randy Moss is not having the impact on the team so far. Chris Johnson has 1026 yards this season and has averaged 85.5 yards a game and that is way down from last year (2006 yards, 125.4 a game) and has 6 100+ games compared to 12 last year.

The Winner is - The Colts will in because Manning will find a way to win the game as he is very competitive player and this is a huge huge game for them and with Young and Fisher are feuding and the team is self destructon bit by bit and Chris Johnson is being keyed on the whole game. The Titans will win only if CJ goes off and runs all over the Colts defense that has giving up 82.6 (fourth lowest average) and the QB does not lose the game for them by throwing interception and Manning throws interceptions that are run back for TDs.

Enjoy the Game

Pat Gillick is headed to Hall Of Fame and Tom Cheek maybe next and UFC 131

Pat Gillick is heading to the basball hall of fame and Tom Cheek has a chance to join him this year as he is up for Ford C. Frick Award that goes to a baseball announcer and the winner is put into the baseball hall of fame.

The city that UFC 131 is going to be held was announced today and finally the UFC will come to the Roger Center in Toronto, Ontario on Staurday April 30Th, 2011. It maybe the biggest attendence figure in Martial arts but not likely not going to happen because UFC will not want to sell the 500 level as the fans in the 500 level would not be able to see The Octagon but they will diffently have atleast 40,000 fans and the biggest gate which will be atleast 10 million.

The Monday nighter the New England Patriots domonated the New York Jets especially in the first half of the game and the second half was nothing while Tom Brady set the record for the most consecative home wins.

NFL Monday nighter - New York Jets Vs New England Patriots

NFL Monday nighter - New York Jets Vs New England Patriots

The plot - The Jets & the Patriots are both 9 - 2 and have the best record in the NFL so the winner will be on top of the NFL and have the advantage to win the AFC East.

Which record will be broken - Tom Brady has won his last 25 games at home and if he wins tonight he will pass Brett Farve for the most wins in a row at home. The Jets if they win they will set a francise record with 8 straight road victories.

The Keys for Patriots - Tom Brady will have to use his magic and bill Blichick will have to come up with great ideas to get the move the chains. Also the defense will have to find was to mess with Mark Sanchez by creating turnovers and shorting the field.

The Keys for Jets - Mark Sanchez needs to stay out of turnover trouble and then have some more late game magic and LaDainian Tomlinson will need to run all over the Pats defense. Darrelle Revis needs to shut down Wes Welker and make Brady key on other receivers.

Who I beleave will win the game - Pats should win the game because Brady is a great quarter back and he should do enough to break Farve's record and Bill Blichick should come up with a game plan to win a close game and the Pats should win the AFC East.

NFL week 13 key match-ups - Steelers-Ravens & Falcons-Bucs

Pittsburgh Steelers Vs Baltimore Ravens

The biggest question in the game will be if Ben Roethlisberger plays and I

beleave that he will play in the Sunday Nighter. The game will be a very

big defensive battle and with the Ravens at home they should win a very

close nail-bitten game. The key to Raven's victory will be the Raven

defense that should be able to get into Roethlisberger's face and disrupt

his timing especially with his bad wheel Ben will not be able to get away

from the pressure and Joe Flacco should be able to do enough for his

Ravens to win the game as he plays way better at home. The Ravens are 5-0

at home and the Steelers are 5-1 on the road so if the Steelers are going

to win they will need to use their pressure defense to sack Flacco as they

have a 30-19 advantage in sacks over the Ravens and they have given up 7

less points than the Ravens defense and the Steelers have also scored 4

more points.

Atlanta Falcons Vs Tampa Bay Bucs

The Falcons are 3-2 on the road and the Bucs are 3-2 on the road and the

Falcons have scored way more points than the Bucs (+57) and on defense too

(+14) and the Falcons are 2-0 Vs the divison and the Bucs are 2-2. The

Falcons are usually made or broken by the play Matt Ryan who plays a lot

better at home than on the road so it may be a little tougher to handle

the Bucs but I beleave that he will get the job down and help win the game

for the Falcons. Ryan has not thrown an interception in his last four

games but the Bucs also have a +8 turnover ratio and Ryan should complete

passes and move the chain to win a close game. Ryan could also win the

game for the Bucs too because if the Bucs have a chance to win the game

late in the fourth quarter it will be because Ryan turned over the ball

and shorten the field and the Bucs also need to get breaks like

interceptions, fumbles, bad kicks, and great returns by their punt/kickoff

returners.

Enjoy the Games

Lebron's return, the Thursday nighter, and Jetter

In Cleveland the crowd was rocking like a playoff game and Lebron got booed everytime he touched the ball and when he went to the free throw line he heard things like " Akron hates u" and loud cheers when he missed a shot. Then the Heat went on a 16-0 run open a 11-point lead and the crowd died down a bit but they got back into it when the Cavs got it to 5 and in the third quarter Lebron scored 24 points and the crowd ended up being depressed and the Heat just clocked them 118-90. The Cavs gave LBJ all he could handle but tonight it did not effect his play as they won in a laugher going into the paint for easy buckets and sharing the ball a lot.

The Thursday nighter in the NFL was a good game in the middle with the Texans taking a 24-20 lead in the third quarter but the Engles put up 14 in the fourth to win 34-24 and the big play was a stretch by Brent Celek of the Engles at the 5 yard line that was challenged by the Engles and they ended up getting the first down and continuing a 6-minute drive that end with a touchdown pass from Micheal Vick to Owen Schmitt with 4:23 left in the fourth and the Texans down 10 points and ended the game. Vick ended the game for the Engles with 22 for 33 through the air with 302 yards and 2 TDs and 1 int along with 10 carries for 48 yards on the ground with a rushing TD to give him another good game but could of been better if the Engles were able to get TDs instead of FGs in the first half with Brent Celek dropping a wide open TD catch. Matt Schaub also had a good game with 23 for 37 for 337 yards and 2 TDs through the air along with an int near the end of the second quarter that gave the Engles an extra 3-points going into half.

Derek Jeter will probably re-sign with the New York Yankees because Jeter is smart enough to realize that he would be losing a lot if he left New York especially in popularity and the only team who would set up to the plate and give him a huge deal is the Boston Red Soxs who would only want to rubb it in the Yankees face and the Yankees would not let this happen.

Finally the Toronto Maple Leafs might be up for sale as Rogers communication ( 1 of the top 2 communication companies in Canada) might be interest in buying the Leafs and Raptors (combo pack) to go a long with the Blue Jays which they already own. The big question is will a charge in ownership help better the team as they just got schooled by the worst team in the NHL (Edmonton Oilers) on their own ice 5-0.

I hope you enjoy

NBA Lebron Vs the Cavs, NFL Thursday nighter, and hockey's Jim Kelly

Lebron James is going back to face his former team the Cavs and the fans in Cleveland are very hateful towards Lebron and Thursday the security will be juiced up a lot for the game because Lebron maybe a target and Cavs management want to protect their lnterests and not get a lawsuit. It will be the biggest boo fest in years if not of all time and Lebron will not do will in the game and the Cavs may even win the game and more hate towards Lebron James the better because he was very jerky this past summer towards the Cavs francise and the fan base. The TV special where Lebron James decided to go to Miami instead of staying in Cleveland and being a legendary figure for years.

The Thursday nighter this week will be lnteresting as Micheal Vick and the Philadelphia Engles is coming off a loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday and they are going to be playing aganist the Houston Texans who had shut down and shutout the Tennesee Titans on Sunday as well. Micheal Vick will have a great game and the Engles will have a great game at home and will distroy the Texans and the game maybe over by halftime.

Finally in memories of Jim Kelly (the hockey guy) I would like to remember his biggest feud which was shouting and shoving match with Dominik Hašek in the hallway at a hockey arena after game 5 between Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators. Jim Kelly went to Dominik Hašek to ask for an interview and Hašek attacked him for writing about Hašek's conflicts with then his head coach Ted Nolan with the Buffalo Sabres and Hašek received a 3 game suspension and a $10,000 (US) fine from the NHL. The part I remember the most is watching TV after the game and just coming across the incident on Buffalo TV and just watch them yell and scream at each other with a bunch of people between them.

Thanks Jim for the memory

Also having given up second fewest goals with 47 goals which next to Boston's 46 goals.

Negative - Having played 14 games at the home and 10 games at the away and are in the bottom half of the league in scoring (60 goals) so if the goaltending goes south the team will go down hard fast.

2. Vancouver Canucks 12-7-3-27

They are also 5-2-1 aganist the Eastern Conference and back-up goaltender Cory Schneider is 3-0-1 with a GAA of 2.08 and a save% of 936.

Negative - Having so much distance in production from the Sedin twins and the rest of the team is a concern along with the not so great goaltending from Roberto Luongo is season as he so far is just about a 50/50 goalie. Along with a 4-5-2 record on the road and a 7-5-2 record aganist the Western Conference needs to be improved if they are going to challenge for top in the west and home ice advantage to the cup.

Most important games this month

Brian Elliott W 10 L 8 OTL 0 GAA 2.94 save% 909 SO 2

Positives - Jason Spezza coming back into the lineup lead to a spark on the team because they were really bad before he came back and Brian Elliott has been the better of the 2 starting goaltenders and has also helped the charge towards the playoffs. Daniel Alfredsson is a good leader on and off the ice for the Senators and it continues this season.

Negative - The Senators are 3-7 in their last 10 games and Pascal Leclaire still getting starts with a 1-5-1 record with 3.22 GAA and a 898 save% has hurt the team along with giving up the second most goals in the conference with 75 and fourth most in the whole league and have scored 58 goals which puts them in the bottom third in the conference. A 7-6 record at home is not very good if use want to make the playoffs and 4-7-1 on the road is even worst.

Negative - Miikka Kiprusoff has a 7-10-1 record with a 2.79 GAA and a 905 save% which is not the best if you need to have a strong goalie to get to the playoff and Flames have spent big bucks on their blueline and it has not worked with Robyn Regehr + 4 and Jay Bouwmeester + 8 and ther team still gives up 69 goals and have scored 67 goals. They are 6-5 at home and 4-7-1 on the road while being 3-5-2 in their last 10 games and their captaain only woke up 9 games a go and had 8 points in the teams first 15 games.

Phil Kessel G 10 A 4 P 14

Jean-Sebastien Giguere W 5 L 5 OTL 2 GAA 2.78 Save% 895

Positives - The Leafs are one of the youngest teams in the NHL and Clarke MacArthur has been a real surprise this season especially early in the season and Luke Schenn for a third year player with the help of Tomas Kaberale has become a good defenceman this season with a + 5 and no time on the powerplay. Phil Kessel had a great start to the season and are middle of the pack team giving up 65 goals and have 6 wins and 15 points at home in 13 games.

Negative - The Leafs have scored 51 which is in the top ten lowest totals so far and have only 2 road wins and 5 pointsin 10 games on the road and 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. Also Dion Phaneuf was with the team at the beginning of the seaon when they were 4-0 and I know he is a minus 6 but he has missed the last 12 games with an injury.

#35 - Nikolai Khabibulin W 4 L 10 OTL 1 GAA 4.07 Save% 879 SO 1

Positives - Jordan Eberle has been a very big bright spot all season for the Oilers and Taylor Hall after he started his rookie season slow has found his groove with 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points. The future looks really bright with Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall along with other young stars to help the Oilers get respectible in the next few years and 4-6-3 on the road tells us that they try hard.

Negative - Nikolai Khabibulin has not been anything like he needed to be to make this team have a chance to win a close games like they did in the first week of the season and 3-6-1 @ home could be better and 89 goals allowed is the most by far this season so far.

Most Important Game

NFL monday night football - 49ers Vs Cardinals

NFL monday night football

San Fransico 49ers Vs Arizona Cardinals

The worest record combination for Monday Night Football in years with both 3 and 7 records and the weirdist thing is that one of these 2 teams will be only a game behind the NFC West divison leaders St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks (5-6).

The San San Franisco 49ers are winless on the road (0-4) this season and their leader on offense is Frank Gore,RB who is not as good as he has been before and I beleive that he can get some yards on the ground aganist the Cardinals defense tonight and if not the niners will be in trouble because their QB situation is not really good. The niners may be able to get more than 17 points tonight (their average this season) and maybe three TDs (21 points) and the niners have given up less yards per game on the ground (23.3 yards) and through the air (40.3 yards) and have given up a touchdown less than the Cardinals have. On offense they gained more yards on the ground (11.3 yards) and through the air (26.7 yards).

The Cardinals are 2-2 team at home this season who have lost their last 5 games and eventhough the Cards have scored more points per game than the niners (2 points more) the niners have a much better defense than them. While Larry Fitzgerald with his 55 rec and 691 yards along with 5 TDs is not as good as before which means he is getting doubled and Anderson has not been able to get him the ball 6 times a game when he would have games of 10,12, and even more catches a game. The Cards ground game is lead by Tim Hightower who has been known to drop the ball while running and turnovers could make it a long night for the Cards.

Final Thought

The Niners should win this game and if they work well together it could be a laugher but some how, some way there will be laughing either because the Cards are bad or the game is bad or even a little bit of everything. Niners even with a win will probably not win the divison and finally about the divison whoever wins this divison will have a losing record.

Laughter is awesome

- Will the Roughriders be able to feed off the fan support or will they put too much pressure on themselves (especially Durant)?

- If the Roughriders win how much will the team make off it and where does all that money go?

- Can the Riders have anymore tricks up their selves for this game?
The Game

- Which team will be able to remember that they have runningback more because both teams backs are usually forgotten
- What effect will the weather conditions have on the game
- Durant or Calvillo who will have a better game
- Who are going to be the go to receivers in the game
- What effect will the loud crowd have on the game
- Will the game come down to minor mistakes by players or coaches at the end of the game like last years thirteenth man on the field

nba - San Antonio Spurs having a great start but they have been doin it quietly

The San Antonio Spurs are a team made up of team players and Greg Popovic is the key to the success of the team because he modes the players into a team and this season the Spurs has its best start in years. Even with their 12-1 start is amazing and Wednesday comeback aganist the Minnesota Timberwolves who were down 21 points and sent it to overtime and won it in overtime and have won 12 straight game after being 1-1.

Manu Ginobili is lead the team with 20.8 pts while Tony Parker has 19.4 and Richard Jefferson has 15.9 and Tim Duncan has 13.4 pts a game so to have 4 scorers averaging over 13 points a game is amazing and to have your best player Tim Duncan be fourth on the team says there is a lot of balanced scoring on the Spurs. The Spurs have scored 108 per game and have giving 99 points per game and the Spurs have 23.6 assists per game which means that they share the ball well and take good shoots and 42.5 boards a game that helps them have extra possession.

The Spurs will probally fall back by the end of the season but will be top 4 in the western conference and have over 50 wins this season and it will probably end with Spurs Vs. Lakers in the playoff being the finishing point and the Lakers will most likely win the series and head to the campionship final.

the Turkey day classics for 2010 are good at times

New England Patriots Vs Detroit Lions

- Tom Brady had a perfect passer rating (158.3)
- Wes Welker had no TD in Detroit before and left today with 2
- The Lions lead for three quarters but with 24-all going into the fourth quarter where the Patriots scored 21 points (scored the last 24 points of the game)
- Brady had 4 touchdown and no interception and 341 through the air
- Dion Branch had 79 yard touchdown where he left his defender picking up his shorts (one of his 2 TD)
- Maurice Morris had 9 rushes and 2 TDs for the Lions
- Calvin Johnson had 4 catches for 81 yards
- BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 12 rushes and 2 TDs for the Patriots

New Orleans Saints Vs. Dallas Cowboys

Saints had a great first quarter lead with help from Devery Henderson with

a 57 yard catch and Christopher Ivory had a TD to start the game and Will

Smith intercepted Kitna's pass and lead to a 50-yard field goal and during

the next Saint possession Christopher Ivory had another TD to take a 17-0

in the first. On their way to a 20-3 lead until the last play of the first

half where David Buehler made a 53-yard field goal for the Dallas Cowboys

to make it 20-6 and Miles Austin ran for 60 yards in the first moment of

the third quarter to make 20-13 and then Saints got a firld goal to make

it 23-13. Then Reggie Bush fumbled on a punt return and recovered by Leon

Williams and Marion Barber rushed for a TD to make it 23-20 and then

Cowboys could have tried a 53 yard field to tie the game but decided to

punt and it was a mess and they had to kick again. Then Brees got

intercepted by Gerald Sensabaugh and it ended with Tashard Choice

touchdaown rush to take a 27-23 lead until Roy Williams had a catch and

ran for 47 yards until he had the ball striped from him and recovered by

Malcolm Jenkins. 5 plays later Lance Moore was celbrating the winning

touchdown and was set up by a great catch by Robert Meachem who had 55

yard catch and run at the 2 minute warning. Drew Brees threw for 352 yards

and 1 touchdown and Jon Kitna threw for 313 yards and Marques Colston had

6 catches for 105 yards.

NFL has 3 turkeys for thanksgiven day games

The first of the three turkeys is New England Patriots Vs. Detroit Lions

The Patriots are a very good team and the addition from subtraction of Randy Moss has made the Patriots and even better as they are 8-2 and they put up a lot of points this season (average 28.9/game) and are 3-2 away from home. While the Detroit Lions are still trying to get to respecible as a franchise because they are 2-8 but have only given up 3 more points than they have scored this season and are 2-2 at home.

The game should be won by the Patriots but they did go to Cleveland and laid a huge egg aganist the browns so if the Patriots take the Lions lightly they could be had by the Lions.

The Second Turkey should of been a very good game but the Dallas Cowboys fell down hard early with a 1-7 record when Wade Phillips was fired and the Cowboys since then they are 2-0 but they are facing the New Orleans Saints who started very slowly but are now still 7-3 and most impressively 4-1 on the road. The Saints are still go on offense but the defense is not getting as many turnovers as they did last year and the Cowboys are way more productive since the coaching change.

The Saints are the better team eventough the Cowboys have been better and the Saint play better away from home while the Cowboys have only 1 win at new Cowboys stadium and the way the Cowboys can win is by having an all around game and the Saints who have not played before on thanksgiven are not upto the task.

The biggest Turkey of all are the Cincinnati Bengals who are playing aganist the New York Jets who are tied with the Patriots for the AFC East title and the New York Jets should have no problem with the Bengals with the best points aganist in the AFC and Mark Sanchez is finding ways to win games like the last second TD pass to beat the Jaguars. While the Bengals were looking for big things from Terrell Owens and Chad Oco and Carson Palmer and they have not come through this season especially Palmer who has lost some of the ablity to throw the ball.

The Jets should win easy because the Bengals look like they have folded like a cheap suit especially last week when they were up on the Bills by 21 and lost by 18 at the end and the only way the Bengals win is that they play as a team and the Jets who are 3-2 at home do not show up.

The best ever head coach in the NHL history

Scotty Bowman is the best Head coach in NHL history with his 9 Stanley Cup rings coaches teams like the ST. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens who won 5 cups (1973, 1976-1979), Pittsburgh Penquins who won the cup in 1992, and Detroit Red Wings who won 3 cups (1997-98, 2002). He won 2 coach of the year awards (1977 and 1996) where for his first coach of the year award his team set the record for the most wins in a season with 60 wins which came with the Montreal Canadiens and his other coach of the year award was when he coached the Detroit Red Wings and the team broke the record for wins in a season with 62 wins. He leads the NHL in coaches wins with 1248 and Al Arbour is second over all with 740 wins which means he has 500 more wins than any other coach in history and he also has 233 wins in the playoffs which is also a record. He had 419 wins with the Canadiens, 414 wins with the Red Wings, 210 wins the Sabres, 110 wins with the Blues, and 95 wins with the Penquins and most impressive is that he had 1 50/50 season (in 85-86 he was 18-18-1 in 37 games) and 1 under 500 season (in 86-87 he was 3-7-2 in 12 games) and both with the sabres.

His time with the Montreal Canadiens made his legendary status with 4 Stanley Cups in a row and he had a legendary team to go with it with the likes of hall of famers Ken Dryden, Larry Robinson, Guy Lafleur, and Steve Shutt. With Pittsburgh Penquins he had the likes of hall of famer also of Mario Lemieux and Larry Murphy and while with the Detroit Red Wings along side of Murphy he also coached hall of famer Steve Yzerman and future hall of famers Brendan Shanahan and Nicklas Lidstrom.

He was put into the hall of fame as a builder in 1991 which was in the middle of Stanley Cup run as he had his 5 Canadiens rings by then but still had 1 with the penquins and 3 with the Red Wings still in his future. So in the end Scotty Bowman is the best coach in NHL history even if he had some all-star teams to coach but it is not always the players that get the job done because some coaches with very good teams sometimes can not get them to focused on the team goal of winning a cup. Scotty coached two dynasties (in Montreal and in Detroit) and the Penquins had a very short dynasty of only 2 years and looking back Scotty has done so much that most of what he has done will never be matched again.

NFL Monday night Football - Broncos Vs. Chargers

For the Broncos it has been down hill since their bye week last year and were 6-0 and then went 2-8 for the rest of the season with 4 straight losses and now are 3-6 this year and the team is a mess going into this game with giving up way more point they have scored.

Chargers are lead by Phillip Rivers who has been having a MVP season and without a real running game he has been throw the ball around the field and eventhough the Chargers are 4-5 they have played a lot tougher schedule so far and they play much better at home with a 3-1 home record.

The Chargers should win the game easy with Rivers putting up big numbers but not Vick numbers from last Monday night and this game could be over at half time and the Chargers still have a win streak in them to help them still make the playoffs.

Enjoy the game

A thank you to Pat Burns

As people may or may not know but Friday Pat Burns passed away at age 58 and he was a hockey coach that was great when he started with a team and do very good but would not last long.

Pat Burns was a real battler off the ice as he battled colon cancer in 2004 and survived and Liver cancer in 2005 and also survived that. He coached the QMJHL Hull Olympiques from 1984 to 1987 and the Sherbrooke Canadiens of the American Hockey League for the 1987–1988 season and was a Montreal police officer before he became a future hall of fame coach.

He started with the Montreal Canadiens in 1989 and helped them go to the Stanley Cup and won 51 games and 115 points along with winning the coach of the year award but lost and then he coached them for 3 more seasons and lost in the second round in all three seasons. Then he went to coach the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 1992-93 season and for the next 3 + seasons where the Maple Leafs went to the Western Conference Finals the first 2 years and the first year was the closest the Leafs have been to the Stantley Cup Finals since 1967. This is when the Leafs went into overtime aganist the LA Kings in game 6 and if the Leafs had scored they would have gone to the Stanley Cup Final aganist the Montreal Canadiens but the Kings won and Wayne Gretzky high sticked Doug Gilmour with no call and then they come home and lost to the Kings in game 7. Then in the 95-96 season he was fired and after a year away from hockey he coached the Bruins for the 1997-98 season and for the next 3 + seasons where they made the playoffs the first 2 seasons with 91 points both seasons but lost in the first and second round respectably before not making the playoffs and then getting fired 8 games into the 00-01 season. Then after another year away he coached the New Jersey Devils in the 2002-03 season and for the 2 seasons to end his NHL coaching career and in his stint with the Devils he had 46 and 43 wins respecably and over a 100 points both seasons and won his only Stanley Cup ring in year one at the the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals.

He ended his coaching career with a very good 501 wins and 151 ties in 1019 games with only 353 losses and 14 other overtime loses and had a 578 winning % and the 2003 Stantley Cup and will be in the hockey hall of fame one day but sadly will not get to enjoy the moment in person.

In the year 3000 after frogs had outlasted people during a natural

Cut or uncut the Chicago Cubs are a storied francise and should fans still support the Cubs

The Chicago Cubs have not won a World Series in 102 seasons and they have

Cy winners, MVP winners, fireballing young pitchers, a guy hitting almost

70 homers in a season, a guy who has hit 400 batting average in a season,

a curse by a goat, and a black cat running across Shea stadium since their

last appearance in the World Series.

With all these things happening the Cubs they have not been in a World

Series since Billy Sianis and his goat were kicked out of Wrigley Field

during game 4 of the world series in 1945 and Billy said "Cubs will never

win again". Ferguson Jenkins and Rick Sutcliffe have both won CY youngs as

Cubs and Andre Dawson also won the MVP on one of the worest teams in

history and later even had a great picher in Mark Maddux who had a 20 win

season and no playoffs. Also having fireballers like Kerry Wood and Mark

Prior did help them win their first playoff series in 85 years and if it

was not for fan Steve Bartman reaching over the wall and taking a ball

Moses Alou may have caught and the Marines won the series and then won the

World Series just helps their lovable losers status. The Cubs over the

years have brought in high priced talent as well but did not use their

money smartly on players like Carlos Silva, Carlos Zambrano, Aramis

Ramirez, Kosuke Fukudome, Alfonso Soriano and this shows that maybe they

should get a better GM like the Red Soxs did to help themselves finally

winning a world Series after 86 years of not winning a World Series.

This is uncut because the Cubs are a storied franchise as they are the

loveable losers and I beleive that the Cub fans need to take a step back

from Wrigley field until the Cubs put together a team that is as good if

not better than everybody else in the NL Central and can be able to

chellenge all the other teams in the NL playoffs. This could happen by

going out and getting the best free agents like the Yankees and Red Soxs

do or get very good scouting and build from the farm up like Oakland and

the twins have done for years and then at some point maybe bring in the

right free agent at the right time.

Mr. Halliday is Mr. CY young and tea party helping palin and someone wants to take out Avery

Halliday wins the CY young in the NL and is the 5 pitcher to win both a AL

and NL CY young and 226 strikeout, 2Nd in the NL, and he is not really a

strikeout artist and he won 21 and his 2.44 era makes it his best season

of his career so far. The best part of his season is his perfect game and

then his first ever playoff appearance was a no-hitter.

Shawn Avery is not making friends as a team-mate Eric Christian sucker

punched Avery and Wade Belak said if Avery was on fire he would not even

piss on him. While in Dallas Marty Turco said he should not be on the team

and that was the end of Avery's stint in Dallas.

Bristol Palin is getting help from the tea party who figured out that for

voting for dancing with the star on the ABC.com you do not need a real e-

mail address and people are voting hundreds upon hundreds. There doing

this to prove a point that there strengh in #'s will take down Obama and

Obama may do a good enough job to take himself out of the white house

Why do cats love people and a Demostration of new airport security check from Conan O'brien show

Why do cats love people and the #1 reason is that people feed them food and sometimes like drinking water/milk because they are very interested in food and they also like to be petted, which means just like people cats like getting attention. Cats also love soft and warm places to sleep and cats love to sleep and they can find softer and warmer places inside a house than outside a house.

On Conan O'brien on Monday night he had a skit with an airport security agent and a guest from the audience and the agent with white gloves on patted down the guys shirt and one of his legs. Then he started to checked the guy's hair and then he smelled his hair and told Conan he should come smell the hair and Conan said "no". Then the agent tried to put a chocolete covered strawberry in his mouth and told him when he put it in your mouth say ymmm and when I take it out to say I want more. To finish the skit as the camera is pulling away from the skit you can hear the guard say turn your body away from me and with a camera in his hand he tells the guy look over his shoulder like your doing something wrong as he is taking pictures of him. There was also a woman in the crowd wearing an orange beard and Conan went over to her to ask if he could wear it and he says as he is walking back to his camera spot that he always loves wearing a fake beard over a real beard and he puts his hands through it will it is on his face.

Monday Night Raw - returns to the 80's tonight

Tonight 80's wrestling is back as Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt. Slaughter, Ted DiBiase, Jimmy Snuka, Nikolai Volkoff, The Iron Sheik, I.R.S., Mae Young, Gene Okerlund and Tatanka are back on Monday Night Raw. It could be good if they do it in small doses over the 3 hour show and they could have Jimmy Snuka and Tamina Vs. Jim nighheart and Natalie if Nighheart is a surprise appearance. Also you can have Dusty Rhodes and Goldust Vs Ted DiBiase X 2 Vs I.R.S. and Husky Harris in a triple threat match where the sons face the sons and former superstar Vs former superstar. Gene Okerlund should go around interviewing past or present superstar and Roddy Piper should have a piper pit with Iron Sheik and Sgt. Slaughter and Nikolai Volkoff and Vladimir Kozlov sing the Russian national Anthem and Jullian Hall and Hacksaw Jim Duggan (who rumor has it will be there) come down to the ring to interupt them and Jullian singing and Duggan swings the 2 by 4. But in reality the most likely thing that is going to happen tonight is that they will some how setup a survivor series match some how involving the past superstars either having them team up with Present day talent or a team of past superstars Vs present superstar. The Surprises of the night will probably good especially if a guy like Ricky Steamboat and it is sad that a guy like Owen Hart is gone because he would be good for this show and also Eddie Guerrero who past away 5 years this past weekend would have been good too for this show.

CFL playoff predictions

Toronto Argos Vs Hamilton Ti-Cats

The Ti-Cats have won all 3 games this season and the Ti-Cats will have the crowd on their side and Kevin Glenn who is the quarterback of the Ti-Cats is way better than Cleo Lemmon who is the Argos quarterback. Argos Cory Boyd is a better runningback than Ti-Cats Cobb and Chad Owens of the Argos is a very dangerous kick returner who cho break a long one so the Ti-Cats will try to keep the ball out of his hands and the defences are even so it could be a good game. In the regular season Lemmon put up good # aganist the Cats and Boyd was handled nicely but in the end if the Argos need to cut down on the turnovers that hurt them in the 3 games aganist the Cats this season and need Owens to break a couple of long returns along with Boyd getting some yards on the ground. For the Cats they need to keep the ball from Owens and stop Boyd along with Glenn needs to get the ball to his # 1 receiver and former Argo Arland Bruce III who can go off for big yards and big catches.

So I beleive eventhough the Argos played not great aganist the Ti-Cats in the regular season but trying to sweep a season series is hard and I feel that the Argos can go on the road and win this one.

BC Lions Vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Roughriders won the season series aganist the Lions 2-1 but the Lions are the hottest team going into Mosic Stadium located in Regina, Saskatchewan having won 7 of their last 10 games. The Lions are lead by Travis Lulay at QB who has been getting the job done since being put in as starting QB 5 or 6 weeks ago and his favorite targets Geroy Simon and Paris Jackson but the biggest player in the game for the Lions will be Jamal Roberson as the Riders have not been stopping the run. For the Riders their lead by Darian Durant who has not been playing well down the strech in meanless games and their runningback is Wes Cates who can get yards if he gets the ball and the big key for the Riders is getting Durant the ball to the receivers like Weston Dresser, Andy Fantuz, and Chris Getzlaf. The Riders need to stay in their defensive lines to stop the run and with their best tacler Barrin Simpson out of the game everybody will have to pull up their socks.

I like the Riders so that I beleive that they will make over 30,000 screaming fans happy by the end of the game and it will need to start with a good balance of pass and run and if Cates can find the running lines he should have a great game and Durant with all the cards on the table while be able to throw to the guys in green instead of the guys in Orange.

You can watch the game on CFL.ca right now

THE GOOD, THE FUNNY, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY FOR NOV. 8-12

THE GOOD - Conan O'brien is back on TV and one of the best pieces of the show in the first week was the bit about he can and can't say on cable TV.

THE FUNNY = The Dallas Cowboys lost their web site for a couple of days this week because they forgot to renew the web site name which they need to do every 5 years but at least nobody came in and bought it while it unowned and it would have only cost $ 9.99.

THE BAD - The Raptors are 1-7 and can not put together 48 solid minutes to win games or be close in games because they can play well for a quarter but then be to tired to finish off the game as they had dug themselves a huge hole early.

THE UGLY - The Toronto Maple Leafs gave up 2 goals in 29 seconds aganist Tampa Bay and then gave up a third goal with less than a minute left in the period and it was over with 40 minutes still to play losing 4-0.

Lets have a get week

Canadian Hockey Teams in the NHL for the week of Nov 5-11

LW TW
1 1 Montreal Canadiens (9-5-1-19) are still chugging along with a 6-4 in last 10 games and the Canadiens are playing very well on the road (5-2) and are winning lots of 1 goals game so Price is still playing way better than I thought he would.

2 2 Vancouver Canucks (8-4-2-18) are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and are unbeaten at home in regulation (6-0-1) and Cory Schneider is 3-0 this season helping the Canucks get close the top and the Sedin twins are still leading the team to victory but they may need more key saves from Roberto Luongo.

5 3 The Ottawa Senators (8-6-1-17) are 7-3 in their last 10 games but are now playing much better than they started the season and Spezza is back and has put up 12 points in 10 games while Brain Elliot has 8 wins so far this season so he is making the key saves to help win the game.

4 4 The Calgary Flames (7-7-0-14) are 5-5 in their last 10 games and Rene Bourque leads with 7 goals and Brandon Morrison leads with 8 assists and this team is a 50/50 team who need their best player acting like it so with Jerome Iginal who has 8 points in 14 games and Kipuroff is hot and cold 6-6 this season but already has 2 shutouts.

3 5 Toronto Maple Leafs (5-7-3-13) are 1-7-2 in their last 10 games and Kessels have not have a point in 7 games but he also has nobody to work with and when you go to FLA and are MIA (8-1 in the 2 games) and J.S. needs to steal a game or two to get this team back in the winning circle and are 50/50 at home (3-3-2) and need to be better.

6 6 Edmonton Oilers (4-7-2-10) and are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and Dustin Penner leads with 5 goals and Ryan Whitney is leading with 11 assists and Jorden Eberle is doing well 8 points in 13 games. After a tough start Taylor Hall has found the back of the net and he is getting better but with Khabibulin giving up 3.42 goals aganist and needs to be better if their going to win some games.

The most impactful former CFLer is Cameron Wake formully of the BC Lions and now is sacking quarterbacks and stripping Brett Farve in the end zone to win the game for the Miami Dolphins. It is his second season with the Dolphins with spot duty last year with 1 game start and this year he has started every one of the 8 games for the Dolphins this season where he has 8.5 sasks so far this season which puts him 1St in the AFC and 2Nd in the NFL. While he was with BC Lions he was a sack monster as he had more sacks than some CFL teams in his finally year in the CFL and he would open up other players to get to the QB because he was always was double teamed.

Another former CFLer is Stefan Logan who is also a former BC Lion who is in his second season in the NFL and last year he was a kick returner for the Pittsburgh Steelers and had one reception for 5 years ontop of his kick returning yards. This season now with the Detroit Lions he has 1 rush for 21 yards but he also has a 105 yard TD kick return and averaging 29.4 yards a kick return. When he was with the BC Lions he was mainly a kick returner who got touches as a running back too and set the team record for kick return yards in a season with 1466 yards.

But most former CFLers are like John Chick who was the CFL Defensive Player in the 2009 season for the Saskatchenwan Roughriders and now he is on the Indianapolis Colts practice roster. Players if the opprtunity to be on a NFL practice roster than come back to play in the CFL is because they can make way more money just practicing 2 or 3 days a week at most than playing 18 games in a CFL regular season.

Some players like Rickey Folley and Stevie Baggs try out for a NFL team but do not make the cut and have not shown enough during the pre-season to get a practice roster spot come back to the CFL and some go back to their orginal team or like these 2 players they find a better deal with another CFL team. Some players come back to the CFL like nothing ever happened and play like they did when they were in the CFL before and some can come back with a chip on their shoulder and just not as focused as when they left even if they had not missed a CFL season.

STEROID PT.4 - HOCKEY along with final thought and more Conan

Steroid in hockey are still present in todays NHL with the idea of hockey players being bigger, faster, and strong but the most important enhansher in hockey is sudafed which can make players more alert and I guess it can also help players not catch colds. The most public announcement of a banned substance would be Jose Theodore and his use of a hair growth drug that can be used as a masking agent and was found during a pre-olympic screening. Also with guys like Zdeno Chara who holds the nhl record for hardest shot @ 105.4 mph and the players who have such a hard shot that they hit the glass behind the net and shatters on impact.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Steroid will never be out of sports because the faster the system catches up to people means the sooner they move onto the next undetectable drug and in the long run atheletes use drugs to stay on top of their paticular sport and their ownly hurting themselves by shortening their lives by taking theses drugs.

Conan Thought

The opening of his new show where he on the phone with the people with the peacock network saying he will not move to 12:05 and hangs up the phone and then trys to get out of the parking lot attendant puts up a bulletproof door and then gun men come out of the bushes to shoot him but he dances away. Then they go to his jobs after the show went off the air like being a clown at a kid's birthday party and tells an Obama joke about he is not american and the mother at the party steps in a pays him to go away and then he is working @ a coffee shop and the costumer says I do not care who you were and then he is in an addition and they do not like him. So he is walking on a bridge and climb the wall thinking of jumping and Larry King as his guarden angel takes him down and he walks into the TBS offices and gets the job and I believe he is still awesome and Tom Hanks on tonight.

TONIGHT CONAN O'BRIEN IS BACK WOW WHO GOING TO BE AWESOME

Conan just does not take himself to seriously and for that he is the best he can do an interview with someone that is in a place far far away from his studio because the capishion on the screen says so but while he does his next bit the character walk right in front of him and he will just laugh about it. His monologues and his sketch comedy bit are the best parts of his show and the deal between himself and the mayor of Newark, New Jersey Cory Booker was great with Bookerr doing youtube promos like Conan O'brien being banned from the Newark airport and then Conan banned mayor Booker from the Burbank airport. Booker then banned Conan from Newark and the sister city and Conan came back with i guess the only way for me to get into Newark is like everybody else "through a series of poor decisions" and Hillary Clinton ended the deal by telling Booker to "chalk it up to Conan" and the next week Mayor Booker was on the show to finish the long term comedy bit.

Also Conan during his negotiations for his buy out dragged out the process because he wanted his crew to be taken care of too because he knew he was getting his but he also wanted his crew to get there too which is a fresh way of thinking as most people would look out for # 1 and not care about anyone else. In the end the peacock network made a horrible mistake when they replaced Conan with Jay Leno as the host of the tonight show as Conan is much better than Leno because he is funnier.
