NFL Thursday Nighter - Colts are staying alive

Thursday nighter - Colt Vs Titans

The Colts controlled the majority of the first half with Dwight Freeney causing a fumble by Titans's Kenny Britt and covered colts's Tyjuan Hagler and Payton Manning goes down and scores with help from a 50-yard catch by Reggie Wayne. Then the Titans had the ball go over the punter's head and he has to cover it and 2 plays later Pierre Garcon catches a TD pass from Manning and then the Titans get the ball on their own 45 and then Nate Washington catches a 21-yard pass from Kerry Collins and then Collins passes to Chris Johnson who runs for 25 yards and then runs in the first Titans offensive TD in 14 quarters. The Colts were up 21-7 going into the second half and Randy Moss sat most of the first half with his fur coat on and sitting with the kicker and got a big cheer when he did get on the feild. The Titans got a big run by Chris Johnson for 20 yards and a 18 yard catch by Kenny Britt to make a 7-yard TD pass to Craig Stevens possible to make it 21-14. Then a Reggie Wayne 46 yard catch set-up a 21-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri and it was followed by a strong drive by Manning including some runs including a 4 and 4 and Javarris James ran for 11 yards to set-up another Adam Vinatieri field goal this one 28 yards to make it 27-14. Then Chris Johnson's 37 yard run helped set-up a Bo Scaife 4 yard TD catch to make it 27-21 and then a Colts 3 and out and a Titans 3 and out and then finally goes deep to Pierre Garcon for 47-yard on the second play from the line scrimmage to set-up a Adam Vinatieri 47 yard dagger to go up 9 points 30-27. Then the Titans misused the clock by not getting out of bounds to stop the clock and had short plays take way to long but on the final play of the game Collins throws his 200th career TD to Bo Scaife and the Colts break their 3-game losing streak and the Titans extended their to 6-games with a Colt 30-28 victory.

Payton Manning tied the record with his 63Rd 300-yard game and tied Dan Marino and he used his running game more (32 for 87 yards) and did not have an interception after have 11 in the past 3 games and had 3 huge plays of over 40-yards in the game to keep their divison title hope alive now being 7-6. While Kerry Collins had 3 TDs and Chris Johnson had a big run and a big catch and Bo Scaife had 2 TD catches and Randy Moss had no catches and was not used a lot and looked like he was already on the outs with his team-mates because when the offensive players got together to try and straight out the offense he was not apart of it.

Colts still alive,

Tom Mehegan
