Thursday Night Football - Niners Vs Chargers
Why the Niners will win the game - Alex Smith had a great gsme last week and the Niners started 0-5 and since they are 5-3 and have been doing what it takes to win games (turnovers/shorted field, no turnovers yourself, Alex Smith moving the chains, and getting enough of a run game) and Niners are in the middle of the pack in tackling.
Why the Chargers will win the game - Phillip Rivers has had a great season so far (passing % 65.5, 24 TDs, 10 interceptions, and 3642 passing yards) and if the Chargers win it will going to be because Rivers has a good game as they do not have a real running game this year and the defense is not a strong point this season as they are in the second worst in the league in tackling but have 10 more sacks (38-28).
Who I think will win - Both teams have 13 ints and have a poor record aganist the other conference (Chargers 1-2 and Niners 2-1) so I beleave that Rivers and the Chargers (5-2 @ home) will do enough to win the game aganist the Niners (1-5 on the road) but it may be a lot closer than most 7-6 (Chargers) and 5-8 (Niners) match-ups.
Sid the kid had 2 assists in the Pittsburgh Penquins loss to Philadelphia Flyers and ended their 12-game winning streak
Pittsburgh Pirates who have been torched because it was found out that they made money and that their average salary is 1.1 mil but now the Pirates went out and signed Lyle Overbay for 5 mil and that like any other team paying him 10 mil. Lyle Overbay is not that good and if he is going to be the face of the team it may not be a very good choice for most teams but worst for the Pirates who do not sell out their games.
Cliff Lee left 50 mil on the table when he stuck up his noise to the New York Yankees as he decided to re-up with the Philadelphia Phillies for 5 years - 100 milion dollars and I hear that the main reason is because his son is sick and him and his family wanted to be close to a good children's hospital. Also others are thinking that if it was not for Yankees fans says discouraging words towards his wife during the ALCS that he would be a Yankee next year and I feel that going to Philly could make him and his fellow pitchers like Roy Oswalt and Roy Halladay becomes legendary pitching rotation.
Enjoy the football
