Andrei Kostitsyn G 9 A 9 P 18
Michael Cammalleri G 7 A 8 P 15
Brian Gionta G 7 A 8 P 15

Carey Price W 14 L 7 OTL 1 GAA 1.95 save% 0.935 shutout 4

Positive - Carey Price is having a career first quarter of the season because he has 14 wins this season in 22 games and only had 13 wins in 41 games. Tomas Plekanec is leading the team with 15 A and 23 P and having 6 wins on the road this season and are 9-4-1 at home which is above average along with 7-3 in the last 10 games and 12-6-1 Vs the Eastern Conference. Also having given up second fewest goals with 47 goals which next to Boston's 46 goals.

Negative - Having played 14 games at the home and 10 games at the away and are in the bottom half of the league in scoring (60 goals) so if the goaltending goes south the team will go down hard fast.

Most important games this month

December 4 - Vs Sharks, December 10 - @ Red Wings, Dec 15 vs. Philadelphia Flyers, Dec 16 - vs. Boston Bruins, Dec 28 - at Washington Capitals

2. Vancouver Canucks 12-7-3-27

Stats

Daniel Sedin G 13 A 14 P 27
Henrik Sedin G 2 A 25 P 27
Mikael Samuelsson G 6 A 10 P 16

Roberto Luongo W 9 L 7 OTL 2 GAA 2.72 Save% 911

Positive - Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin are having a very good season so far and are 8-2-1 at home this season and are just outside the top 10 for goals for with 68 goals. They are also 5-2-1 aganist the Eastern Conference and back-up goaltender Cory Schneider is 3-0-1 with a GAA of 2.08 and a save% of 936.

Negative - Having so much distance in production from the Sedin twins and the rest of the team is a concern along with the not so great goaltending from Roberto Luongo is season as he so far is just about a 50/50 goalie. Along with a 4-5-2 record on the road and a 7-5-2 record aganist the Western Conference needs to be improved if they are going to challenge for top in the west and home ice advantage to the cup.

Most important games this month

3. Ottawa Senators 11-13-1-23

Stats

Daniel Alfredsson G 8 A 10 P 18
Jason Spezza G 6 A 8 P 14
Sergei Gonchar G 4 A 10 P 14

Brian Elliott W 10 L 8 OTL 0 GAA 2.94 save% 909 SO 2

Positives - Jason Spezza coming back into the lineup lead to a spark on the team because they were really bad before he came back and Brian Elliott has been the better of the 2 starting goaltenders and has also helped the charge towards the playoffs. Daniel Alfredsson is a good leader on and off the ice for the Senators and it continues this season.

Negative - The Senators are 3-7 in their last 10 games and Pascal Leclaire still getting starts with a 1-5-1 record with 3.22 GAA and a 898 save% has hurt the team along with giving up the second most goals in the conference with 75 and fourth most in the whole league and have scored 58 goals which puts them in the bottom third in the conference. A 7-6 record at home is not very good if use want to make the playoffs and 4-7-1 on the road is even worst.

Most important games this month

Dec. 04 vs. Buffalo Sabres, Dec. 07 at Montreal Canadiens, Dec. 09 vs. New York Rangers, Dec. 10 vs. New Jersey Devils, Dec. 13 vs. Atlanta Thrashers

Alex Tanguay G 6 A 15 P 21
Jarome Iginla G 10 A 10 P 20
Rene Bourque G 11 A 7 P 18

Miikka Kiprusoff W 7 L 10 OTL 1 GAA 2.79 Save% 905

Positives - Jarome Iginla has been on a roll with 8 goals and 4 assists for 12 points in his last 9 games and their in the middle of the pack in scoring and Miikka Kiprusoff has 2 shutouts this season while Rene Bourque has a 11 goals on the season to lead the team.

Negative - Miikka Kiprusoff has a 7-10-1 record with a 2.79 GAA and a 905 save% which is not the best if you need to have a strong goalie to get to the playoff and Flames have spent big bucks on their blueline and it has not worked with Robyn Regehr + 4 and Jay Bouwmeester + 8 and ther team still gives up 69 goals and have scored 67 goals. They are 6-5 at home and 4-7-1 on the road while being 3-5-2 in their last 10 games and their captaain only woke up 9 games a go and had 8 points in the teams first 15 games.

Most important games this month

5. Toronto Maple Leafs 8-11-4-20

Stats

Clarke MacArthur G 7 A 11 P 18
Mikhail Grabovski G 5 A 11 P 16
Phil Kessel G 10 A 4 P 14

Jean-Sebastien Giguere W 5 L 5 OTL 2 GAA 2.78 Save% 895

Positives - The Leafs are one of the youngest teams in the NHL and Clarke MacArthur has been a real surprise this season especially early in the season and Luke Schenn for a third year player with the help of Tomas Kaberale has become a good defenceman this season with a + 5 and no time on the powerplay. Phil Kessel had a great start to the season and are middle of the pack team giving up 65 goals and have 6 wins and 15 points at home in 13 games.

Negative - The Leafs have scored 51 which is in the top ten lowest totals so far and have only 2 road wins and 5 pointsin 10 games on the road and 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. Also Dion Phaneuf was with the team at the beginning of the seaon when they were 4-0 and I know he is a minus 6 but he has missed the last 12 games with an injury.

Most Important Game
Their next one - Vs Edmonton Oilers - December 2Nd

6. Edmonton Oilers 7-12-4-18

Stats

Ryan Whitney G 0 A 17 P 17
Ales Hemsky G 6 A 9 P 15
Jordan Eberle G 4 A 9 P 13

#35 - Nikolai Khabibulin W 4 L 10 OTL 1 GAA 4.07 Save% 879 SO 1

Positives - Jordan Eberle has been a very big bright spot all season for the Oilers and Taylor Hall after he started his rookie season slow has found his groove with 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points. The future looks really bright with Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall along with other young stars to help the Oilers get respectible in the next few years and 4-6-3 on the road tells us that they try hard.

Negative - Nikolai Khabibulin has not been anything like he needed to be to make this team have a chance to win a close games like they did in the first week of the season and 3-6-1 @ home could be better and 89 goals allowed is the most by far this season so far.

Most Important Game

December 2 - @ Toronto Maple Leafs

Thanks
