For Rick DIPIETRO it all started December 26,2007 in the warm up for a home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs when he pulled something in his leg and after being pulled from the game he would continue playing until March '08 with the injury and he played some of his worst hockey in his career to that point and mercifully the Islanders shut him down for the rest of the season. He had to have surgery and then more surgery and played 5 games for the Islanders in '08-'09 season and 8 games in '09-'10 season as he had a horrible time trying to get over the injury that he had made worst by playing on it for 2 to 3 month before getting surgery and then this season he has played 21 games and had trouble stopping the puck. Then Wednesday night at the end of another Islanders loss Rick sees Matt Cook of the Pittsburgh Penguins coming down the ice as he is trying to move the puck to safety and makes contact with Cook and a huge fight starts and Rick calls for Brett Johnson the penguins goalie to come down. he did and they dropped their gloves and Johnson lead with if weaker hand and contacted with Rick's face and he is down and out because he was expecting Johnson to lead with his stronger hand and the end result is now Rick is out 4 to 6 weeks with a face/leg injury.
Gilbert Arenas and the Magic were facing the Heat on Thursday and he got an interesting present as he went back to the locker room at halftime as he passes the fans to go into the tunnel he has a hand with a piece of paper in it come out of the crowd and he takes it and then he looks at it and stares at it and stops for a second as he realizes that he was just handed child support papers.
The Bears have signed a wide receiver that can caught pass and went to the great white north to sign Andy Fantuz who was the leading receiver in the CFL last season and was the first Canadian to lead the league in receiving for a season. He has been a very good receiver over the last 4 seasons for the Saskatchewan Roghriders in the CFL and will be able to make big catches and move the chains so he will be able to be a great pick-up for the Bears as he had also received tryouts with the Pittsburgh Steelers (yes that time playing in the big game on Sunday), Minnesota Vikings, and the Colts as well.
Thanks Fantuz for being such amazing player in the CFL for the Roughriders
