Packers defeat Eagles
David Akers becomes the scape goat as the eagles go do to defeat @ home to the Packers as he missed to field goal with the first into a wind from 41 yards away on the open drive of the game and the second early in the fourth quarter from 34 yards away that he hooked after the Eagles spent 5 minutes stuggling down the field with back to back penalties on Winston Justice to start the drive. The Packers had mince meat out of the Eagles early in the game as James Starks runs wild to open their second drive of the game (27 yards,1 yard,4 yards,4 yards) and then Arron Rogers throws a 8 yard pass to James Stark (a 6th round rookie) to from their own 32 to the Eagles 19 where Arron Rogers ends the drive with a 7 yard TD pass to Tom Crabtree. Their next drive the Packers have difficulties holding onto the ball (2 fumbles) but still recovered both of them as James Stark runs to open the drive with runs of 5 yards and 4 yards and then Rogers decides to go to the air where he finds Quinn Johnson (4 yards) and Donald Driver (7 yards). Then James Stark runs for 6 yards and ends the drive with a 9 yard TD pass to James Jones for a 14-0 lead and they have scored TDs on 2 of their 3 possessions of the first half. Then Micheal Vick makes his first huge play of the game as he connects with Jeremy Maclin for 44 yards and to end the drive Vick runs for 14 yards that only gets them a 29-yard field goal by David Akers (his only make of the game) to cut the lead to 14-3 and the Packers do not score on their last drive of the half and the Eagle fans booed their team off the field but they did boo Santa in the past too. The Eagles got a break as Rogers left on the ball on the carpet on the Packers first possession of the second half and after an incomplete pass Vick connected with Jason Avant for a 24 yard TD pass but then the Packers got the ball and went done the field and matched the score to make it 21-10 as they took 6 minutes off the clock. With the big plays being a 19 yard run by James Starks and a 20 yard catch by Donald Driver and the Eagles could not do anything on their next drive even though they moved the ball they still had to punt it away and then the Packers punted it back where the Eagles drove and Akers missed the 34 yard field goal. On their next drive the Eagles went down the field as Vick connected with LeSean McCoy on passes of 11 and 16 yards along with a 16 yard connection with Brent Celek where Vick finishes with a TD run of a yard to make it 21-16 and they go for 2 and Brent Celek catches it in the end zone but had stepped out of bounds and came back in to catch it so they retry the 2 point conversion from the 7 yard line and Vick is plowed down and does not complete the pass. The Packers are not able to run out the clock so Vick gets 1 more chance and the first play to Vick connects with DeSean Jackson for 28 yards and then throws deep to Brent Celek but it is overthrown and he is rocked by a elbow in his chest and down for the count and 3 plays later after a 11 yard connection with Riley Cooper Vick throws an interception to Tramon Williams to end the game 21-16 Packers.
Ravens schooled the Chiefs
Lets get the Chiefs out of the way Jamaal Charles scores on a 41-yard TD run to give the Chiefs a 7-3 lead and then the Ravens went to work with a Ray Rice 9 yd pass from Joe Flacco and the drive almost took 6 minutes and the Ravens lead going into the half. Billy Cundiff made a 29 yard Field goal on the first Ravens drive of the second half to make it 13-7 and then Chris Carr picks up a fumble recovery and the Ravens get another field goal from Billy Cundiff (29 yards) to make it 16-7 Ravens. Then on second down of the Chiefs next possession Matt Castles throws an interception which leads to an Anquan Boldin 4 yard TD catch from Joe Flacco to make it 23-7 and it only got worse as the Chiefs go 2 and out and then the Ravens put together a 10 minute and 20 second drive to score their third and final TD of the game. As they ran the ball down the throat of the Chiefs and former Buffalo Bill Willis McGahee runs 25 yards to the end zone and the last Chief fan ran to the exit as the Ravens won 30-7 and score the last 27 points on the game and now go to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers. The Chiefs were their own worst enemy as they turned the ball over 5 times lead by Matt Castles 3 times (9 of 18 for 70 yards) and Jamaal Charles was 9 rushes for 82 yards and the Ravens just out classed them Joe Flacco 25 of 34 for 265 yards and 2 TDs while Todd Heap had 10 receptions for 108 yards. The Ravens defense was huge Terrel Suggs had 4 tackles and 2 sacks while Ray Lewis had 3 tackles, an assist, a forced fumble, and a sack while Dawan Landry had 3 tackles, an assist, and an interception and not to mention Ed Reed who lost his brother had 4 tackles as well.
