Nfl playoffs - Bears claw at the seahawks

Bears claw at the seahawks

In the first half Gregg Olson had more yards (3 catches for 113 yards w=including a 58 yard TD catch) than the Seahawks who had 96 yards of offense and they punted the ball 7 times in the first half on snowy Solder Field. Jay had a 6 yard rushing TD one of the three first half TDs (Chester Taylor got a yard TD run to open the scoring) for the Bears as they lead 21-0 at half and this means that it was a dominating half for the Bears D.It took the second drive for the Bears to realize what they need to do as they had a14 play and 70 yards for almost 8 minutes off the clock which ended with Cutler's second TD run to make it 28-0 but then the Seahawks finally woke up after a 62 yard kick return by Leon Washington. The Seahawks had a struggle to get down the field but got a big break when there was a live ball on the field while everybody just standing around and Seahawk Justin Forsett jumped on it at the last second but only got a field goal and later Jay Cutler ran for 21 yards but then the Bears got fancy as RB Matt Forte in a wild cat formation throw an interception to Aaron Curry. The Seahawks struggled down the field again but did get into the end zone with a Mike Williams 2 yard TD catch from Matt Hasselbeck and the Bears Kellen Davis got a 39 yard TD catch from Jay Cutler his second TD through the air to make it 35-10. Then the Seahawks controlled the rest of the game with Mike Williams getting his second TD (3 yards) grab of the game and then had a chance to get a onside kick but missed while also getting another TD a 9 yarder to Brandon Stokley and with another onside kick that did not work the Bears ran out the clock to win 35-24. Jay Cutler was 15 of 28 for 274 yards and 8 rushes for 43 yards as the Bears ran the ball 45 rushes for 174 yards while Matt Hasselbeck was 26 of 46 for 258 for 3 TDs mostly late in the game.
