The beginning of TSN radio have been put into motion

The beginning of TSN radio have been put into motion

TSN Radio the Team 1050 is expected to launch in April 2011 and have plans in the works to re-brand other stations across like CFGO in Ottawa, CKGM in Montreal, and CFRW in Winnipeg as TSN the Team stations and have told Pierre McGuire, Darren Dreger, and Dave Naylor to not go on a Sportsnet radio station which means Rogers Sportsnet radio the Fan 960 in Calgary have lost their hockey insiders.

The idea came got into motion when Keith Pelley moved to Rogers from TSN and CTV which are Bell products.

Mike Richards has signed with TSN Radio and after Rogers wanted to get him back to Toronto and be the morning host of the Fan 590 but they could not come to terms. Now the plot has thicken and Mike Richards will become the morning show host of TSN radio the team 1050 by September 2011 and the program will be broadcast on TSN2 from 6 to 10 am and go against Andrew Krystal. The new TSN radio will also start to have ESPN programing at different points of the day which will be problematic for Sportsnet Radio the Fan 590 who has had ESPN overnight for the last little bit along with Sunday afternoon programing and this will most likely end when TSN radio begins as ESPN is a small partner in the TSN brand.

To try to keep Bob Mccown on Rogers Sportsnet radio the Fan 590 Rogers have just announced that Bob Mccown's program Prime Time Sport will be on their ugly duckling also known as Rogers Sportsnet One (Rogers is having a horrible time getting other cable companies to pick it up) will carry the whole program from 3 to 6 pm starting March 7th, 2011. Also to help them keep Bob Mccown they will build a whole studio for the show and it will be ready for April 2011 which of course is when TSN will launch and final hour will also be live on Sportsnet Ontario and Damon Cox (who Rogers sneaked in and took Cox from under TSN radio's noise because TSN felt they already had a deal) will start as co-host when the show moves to Rogers Sportsnet One.

Lets see what happens
