Eaton Centre shooting is a huge tragedy

Saturday day was a tragedy of a day at the Eaton Centre in a very crowded food court called the Urban Eatery when a 23-year-old named Christopher Husbands who had just gotten out of jail, after serving a jail sentence for an incident that happened during the Summer of the gun in 2005, and was for retribution and opened fire as he tried and succeeded to kill 24-year-old Ahmed Hassan and injured another member of the same gang as Hassan. This shooting started with a shooting and altercation at Alexandra Park and the argument moved to the Eaton Centre where a 13-year-old boy was caught in the crossfire and had to be rushed to Sick Kids Hospital and had to go into emergence head surgery and thankfully he is doing well and alert and talking which is awesome. A 23-year-old is also in hospital and there were 5 other people hurt by the bullets or in the case of a pregnant woman who was trampled by the people in the food court trying to get out of the Urban Eatery before being hit with a bullet.

This shooting at the Eaton Centre is the worst shooting in Toronto in the last 18 years since the Just Desserts shooting that killed Georgina Leimonis who was killed by a stray bullet will she was out for a bite to eat and simply was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is the scariest thing to happen to Toronto in a very long time and it maybe a big black eye for the city and may make the Eaton Centre not the most comfortable place to be for the next little while but in the end it is hopefully an isolated incident and hopefully things do not turn into the summer of the gun II.

The Eaton Centre is opened again and Urban Eatery will be opened again on Tuesday
