Ron Lancaster for the Saskatchewan Roughriders went 20 of 29 for 239 yards with a TD and two interception while Riders running back George Reed had 93 yards on the ground. This Grey Cup was in the middle of 11 straight Western Final for the Roughriders between 1966 (Green Riders first ever Grey Cup victory) to 1976 when Tony Gabriel (then when with the Black Riders) on the last minute of the game scored a TD from Tom Clements to win the 64TH Grey Cups 23-20.
