Dallas Eakins a good choice for young Oilers

Dallas Eakins has a wealth of knowledge from coaching the Toronto Marlies for four season and took the Marlies to Calder cup final after finish first in the division in the 2011-12 and then in the 2012-13 the Marlies finished first again but only made it to the second round of the Calder cup playoffs. He helped players like Nazem Kadri, James Reimer, Ben Scrivens, Ryan Hamilton, Joe Colborne, Mark Fraser, and Jake Gardiner to be able to move up to the NHL level and help the Leafs make the playoffs. So he has built up young players to get to the next level and he will be a good fit as the new head coach of the Edmonton Oilers and will have the opportunity to take players like Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Nail Yakupov, and Justin Schultz to take their games to the next level so ring that paycheck bell to have their salaries sky rocket. Then it is time to put together veteran players to go with the youth they have gotten in the draft and Dallas has been able to get more out of career AHL players and he will need to find more useful veteran players rather than the likes of Ales Hemsky, Shawn Horcoff, Ryan Jones, and Ryan Smyth who are veteran players but are not good fit as they can not get the job done. The Oilers need be better on the back end and keep that black frozen round thing out of their own net and Dallas will need to put in a defensive system that helps goalies like Devan Dubnyk or whoever they bring in to be the starter for the 2013-14 season. Dallas Eakins is getting his chance to make it in the NHL and it will be interesting to see if Eakins is able to be better than Randy Carlyle who is the head coach of the Maple Leafs a job that Dallas should of gotten. Oilers will have a top 5 pick and it will be interesting what they will do with it Tom Mehegan
