Sidney Crosby not to be ready for the playoffs
Sidney Crosby was hit in the mouth by a flying puck off the stick of teammate Brooks Orpik that charged direction and caught the "KID" under his visor but Penguins GM Ray Shero says that Crosby's jaw was not wired shut and that maybe go for recovery time.
The Penguins I am pretty sure that Crosby will miss the first round of the playoffs as they have only four weeks til the end of the regular season which ends at the end of April and it should take at least 6 weeks to heal his jaw and the Penguins are hoping that he will be healthy to start the playoffs.
I do not trust the Penguins medical staff as the Simpson's Dr. Nick has had more credibility than the Penguins medical staff over the last few years and yes I know that they have new people in charge of the health of the Penguins players but I still think they will mess this up and it will become a lingering injury just like his concussion issues.
It is a good thing that the Penguins have dived head first into the trade seas picking up Brandon Morrow, Jerome Iginla, and even Douglas Murray as Crosby not only one to likely miss the beginning of this season's playoffs as they be missing Paul Martin for the next 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his hand. They are still without Kris Letang who was placed on IR with a lower body injury and will be a question mark for quite a while but on a good note they have gotten back Evgeni Malkin this past Thursday and has a point in each of his first two games back.
The Penguins with their new pieces in the lineup for the last 12 games of the regular season (the last quarter) it will be interesting
