the NFL owners and commissioner Rodger Goodell has changed their opinion on racialism and r saying “We, the NFL, believe Black Lives Matter,”. This a response to a great video by their players who have not changed their opinion as they held hands and taking a knee in 2016.
In 2016 Donald Trump saw or most likely a football player was taken a knee during the national anthem and said he was anti-American and not b playing. The player Colin Kaepernick became a free agent after the season and to the wishes of Donald he not get signed by any team and only got a tryout nearly 3 years later.
The league listening to their players is means nothing when u look @ a league made up 70% black players when going into the 2020 season there is 4 black head coaches (12.5%) and 2 general managers (6.25%).
The bottom line is this if the NFL do not want the words that r coming out of their mouth to b hallow then when u r hiring someone for a position in your leadership group (coaches general manager president) interview more than 2 black head coaches and 1 for general manager and president of the team. If the qualified black person is best person hire them if they r second still give them the chance to show if they r able to get the job done.
NFL actions r better than words
